Jessica watched him place the handicap tag back on the mirror before she stepped out of the car. She decided she would ask over ice cream, who would get mad over ice cream? "Alright, I am ready." She said with a huge smile on her face.

"I trust you," Jessica said walking through the open door. She walked in and looked around, it was a quaint little shop with white tiled floor and small booths along the walls with the ice cream counter on the back wall. "Cute." She said smiling softly.

He smiled and walked over to the counter. "Hey can I get three scoops of vanilla ice cream...and also can you go way overboard with some chocolate and peanut butter?" he asked, and then looked at Jessica, waiting for her to order.

Bradley pulled out his wallet and paid for both orders. "That's a really good choice." he said briefly before the ice cream was brought out. He got his order and waited for Jessica before heading to one of the booths.

"Thank you," Jessica said as he payed for both of them. She received her ice cream, feeling excited to try it. She followed him to the booth and dug her spoon into it as soon as she sat down. "Can't wait." She said holding her spoonful of Ice cream towards him before placing it in her mouth.

Bradley smiled and took in a spoonful of his own ice-cream, carefully eyeing Jessica to see her reaction

Jessica mulled the ice cream around, making odd sounds as she avoided looking him directly in the eyes. "Alright," She said finally looking towards him "It's pretty amazing." She said taking another bite.

"I told you it would be" he said and looked back down at his own ice cream. "I've never disappointed someone by bringing them here." he added

Jessica laughed "How many people have you brought here?" She asked taking another bite. "How long have you been teaching at Tidewater?" She asked wanting to get to know him more.

"Well I've brought my parents....a few friends.... I don't know. Five people maybe?" he said, thinking about it. "I've been here for three years. You?"

"Only five? But, you must convert the entire town," Jessica said in a surprised voice. She smiled "This is my first year actually. I just moved a couple months ago," She said thinking back to her last school which caused her to shiver. "is it cold in here or is it just me eating ice cream," She said laughing a fake laugh.

Bradley noted Jessica's discomfort. "So how do you like it here so far?" he asked before grabbing a napkin from the dispenser and wiping a small drop of ice cream off the table. He cleared his throat a little.

"I love it," Jessica said, truly meaning it. She was glad to have left her past behind her, she was only afraid it would catch back up with her. "Have you enjoyed the three years here?" She asked.

"Yeah they've been pretty cool. I like my students a lot. They actually WANT to learn most of the time." he stopped talking for a second to catch his breath. "The only thing that gets out of hand is the drama and the cliques sometimes, but it isn't very hard to divert attention away from that nonsense." he smiled.

"I've noticed the cliques as well, though I haven't had an issue with most kids." Jessica said, she had installed a rule that once the homework was done they could use the internet, and since most sites were blocked they couldn't see anything they weren't suppose to. "Have you always taught mythology?" She asked finishing off her ice cream.

"Yeah. Well, Mythology, Latin, and Classical Studies." he said. "And I know where you're coming from. I had to put in a request to have that awful shark tank blog blocked on the language department's laptops."

"I like Mythology, it's pretty fascinating," Jessica said crossing her arms on the table. "Shark Tank?" She asked not sure what he was talking about."What kind of blog is it?" she asked knowing it sounded familiar and was probably on all of her computers history.

"There is a group of students who make these awful, National Enquirer like blog posts about the other students. Its pretty nasty and the staff can't figure out who is making the posts." he said and coughed a little into his arm. "Its a classic case of cyber-bullying taken to the extreme"
