Jessica listened to him explain the blog, cringing at the thought of going through high school with a blog like that. She shook her head. "Sounds awful, wish there was something we could do." She said knowing her hacking abilities lacked.

"A few years ago it would've been easy to just block that site from the school's routers, but these days every kid has a smartphone and can get to the site from wherever they are" he said and sighed. "Its near impossible to stop this kind of stuff from happening unless you can get the IP of the person putting it up, and then again they could be using a proxy or something like that. Its a game of cat and mouse"

Jessica nodded, she understand what he was saying and was sad that her only plan wouldn't work after all. "I just wish kids wouldnt be so interested in something like that. If they ignored it, it would grow old and boring" she said looking out towards the street. "Being bullied isn't fun." She said remembering her years of the same thing.

"Yeah me too. It sucks, and I remember feeling angry with teachers when I was being bullied in school. because nothing was being done. Now that I'm the teacher I feel just...pretty guilty about it all." he shook his head "I guess we just have to teach these kids that once you're out of highschool, this kind of stuff doesn't matter. And you can choose the kinds of people you surround yourself with if you can just....make it through these four short years of school." he said and shook his head. "Okay, so that got really depressing really fast" he said and laughed nervously.

Jessica nodded in agreement, feeling anything she said would be an awful repeat of what he was saying. She smiled "yes it did, we should change the subject and fast." She said laughing.

"Uh.... okay." he said and thought for a moment. "I heard that there is going to be a school musical" he said. "I'm interested to see how many students actually try out. I like seeing them get involved in something productive." he added.

"Yeah, isn't Beauty and the Beast?" Jessica asked, perking up her head and her smile returned to normal. "That was my favorite movie when I was younger." She said remembering seeing it in the theater. "The beast was scary though, so I wonder how they plan to pull that off." She added, thinking of ideas herself.

"I'm sure they'll do it well. Our performing arts department is pretty amazing with that kind of thing" he said as he wiped his hands off with a napkin and put it in his empty ice-cream dish. He cleared his throat before coughing into a napkin. "I'm excited to see it."

"And the new Drama teacher, have you met her yet?" Jessica asked, knowing she had seen her from a distance and felt like a high schooler again, wanting to avoid her. "She is kind of intimidating," She added with wide eyes. "I am excited to.." She said watching him closer. "Can I ask you a personal question?" She asked wondering if he would agree.

Bradley looked up. He was caught off guard by the request, but shook it off. "Yeah sure, go ahead." he said calmly.

She looked around the little store, not really for any reason but to buy off time. "You... Have something," She said knowing that was the wrong thing to say, she couldn't figure out the words she really wanted to speak. "I mean, you are sick with something, like asthma." But she knew it wasn't asthma if he had a handicap tag, she didn't know anybody with asthma that had that.

Bradley sighed uncomfortably. "It isn't athsma....its something a bit" he hated to say it, and every part of him wanted to stop right there. "more serious than athsma." he said. There was a long pause. "I was born with a genetic mutation called cystic fibrosis. "I'm prone to lung infections, I can get them at the drop of a hat. I've spent a good percent of my life in the hospital because something as small and easy to maintain as the common cold aren't so small and easy to maintain for me." He made the decision to stop talking and wait until he was asked any other questions, because to explain the whole thing would take a long time.

Jessica nodded her head like she understood the medical mumbo jumbo, but she didn't. She didn't want to stop him, make him feel odd about his condition. She also didn't want to feel sorry for him, knowing some people hated when they had diseases. When he stopped talking she just stared at him. "That sucks." She stated knowing she would feel like the world was ending every time she had to go to the hospital for a simple cold. "How many times have you gone to the hospital this year?" She asked wondering if he had to miss teaching because of it.

"It does suck pretty bad sometimes" he said, understating how he really felt about the condition. "This year has actually been pretty good so far though. Collectively I've been out at the hospital a bit more than two weeks this school year. I have the sub plans for the whole year, though, and I've skyped into class on multiple occasions." he said, trying to count the days in his head. "If I weren't as qualified to teach the subjects though, I'm not sure that I'd be able to keep the job I have right now." he admitted

"That's good that you can Skype you classes," Jessica said thinking that was good idea. Her smile turned into a frown, it would suck to love to teach and not be able to because of the condition. "Well, then you must be the best on your subject, you should enlighten me on a few things." She said perking up once again.

"Yeah technology is great in that sense" he said and smiled. This was going nicely. Sometimes when he told people about his condition, they would cry and HE would have to be the one to console THEM. Sometimes Bradley was the only one who didn't see his CF as an inherent death sentence.

Jessica nodded and smiled, the evening was going great in her opinion. "To be honest, I haven't really gotten along with teachers," She said chuckling. "I guess I connect more with my... Students." She said, pausing a bit between words.

"I totally get what you mean" he said. "At least I think I do. I just....Adults can be so boring sometimes. They hold their expectations so high, but on the other hand, they've stopped believing in things like miracles or love at first sight, you know?" He struggled to articulate what he meant. "From a medical standpoint....from an ADULT standpoint, my future is totally bleak; but I have a lot of hope for the future. Some might call this childish or unrealistic. So be it." he caught himself getting off topic. "What I'm trying to say is that adults are boring....which I already said." he looked down at the table, embarrassed.

Jessica laughed "But we ARE adults, in a way." She knew she was a child at heart and would 'fangirl' over something silly like teenagers do. "Well, stay a kid then. Having a bleak future doesn't sound wonderful to me. Why live life bleak when it can be exciting and adventurous all the time." She said wishing she took her words to heart, she knew she didn't have much of a life outside of school. Jessica laughed "Adults are boring

"Exactly. Thats exactly what I mean" he said and smiled. Its not fun to sit there and feel sorry for yourself because its what you think you should be doing." he added. "Its so much more exciting to smile, dance, and be spontaneous. Sure I'm an adult because I was born in a certain year, but that isn't what defines me. So what if I like ice cream before dinner, or disney movies, or whatever." he rambled on until he ran out of breath. He gave Jessica an apologetic look for talking too much as he caught his breath.
