Jinora wiped at her dry eyes, not being able to let out anymore tears. "I don't know Everly...it just...felt wrong to keep it from him." She said softly, not sure how she could explain it. No matter what she felt like she wouldn't be able to make her friend understand.

Everly stared at Jinora, willing her to explain though she knew she wouldn't be able to. "What are we going to do if he tells?" She asked suddenly feeling afraid.

Jinora narrowed her eyes, she didn't think Lance would tell anyone, but if he did...she hadn't planned for that. "I don't think he will, but if he does, well, he have to take responsibility for our actions then get the hell out of this town."

Everly felt like loosing it, she couldn't just leave, her parents wouldn't allow that. She realized what a hole she dug herself in and wondered why Jinora was giving up everything they had for a stupid boy. She sat back down in the small seat and curled her legs up, wanting to shut the world out again.

Jinora pressed her lips together and watched Everly with a pained expression on her face. "We'll figure something out Ev...I will figure something out. This is all my fault."

Everly hid her face from Jinora and began rocking back and forth in her chair, her life was finally going to way she wanted it to and it was suddenly falling all to pieces. "How could you..." She whispered, not sure if Jinora could hear or not.

Jinora heard her and winced. "Everly...he won't tell anyone, I promise you. I don't think he would ever do that and if he does...I'll make sure he doesn't say anything about you...we would just have to stop talking in public and hanging out...Though I'm sure you won't want to hang out anymore."

Everly looked up at her, the thought of never being around her one and true friend again. She couldn't look Jinora in the face, not yet. She dried what tears she had before speaking, "I don't want to do that," She said.

"It would just be in public Ev." Jinora said softly, though she would hate doing that too. "I'll figure something out. I promise."

Everly still didn't like that idea, it was like hiding who they were as friends if it was all in private. Not too mention if they were caught together... "I should go, I have to get to class," She lied knowing she was excused for this by the principal. "I'll be back afterwards.. Okay," She said getting up from her seat and walking over to Jinora. She placed her hand on hers and gave it a squeeze. She would be back, but she needed time to think and do damage control.

"Okay..." Jinora said softly and looked down. "I'll see you around...have fun at school." She pulled her blankets up around her but the daffodils Lance had brought her caught her eye, making the tears want to flow again.

It had been a couple of days and not easy days. Lance had trouble sleeping, paying attention in classes despite the fact he didn't do that anyways, it was even harder now to not hear the teacher calling his name. He couldn't forget what Jinora had told him, that she was Siren. She was the one who wrote those hurtful things about him and the other women on the blog. He thought she was a victim when she really was the mastermind behind it all.
It was his last class of the day and he had already planned to visit Jinora in the hospital. She had one more day there before being allowed to return to school. He knew that day would be touch, kids would stare, teachers would be concerned all the time. He wanted to be there for her, but he wanted to talk with her first. As soon as the bell rang Lance was up out of his seat first and out the door. He caught his friend to catch a ride to the hospital and was standing in front of her door. He wondered if Everly was there again and he wondered how he would make her leave the room to talk with Jinora alone.
Lance took a deep breath before knocking on the door and entering. "Jinora." He called out softly, in case she was sleeping. He didn't want to wake her up.

Jinora was sitting in the hospital bed like usual, except she wasn't alone. She was talking with a therapist. It was towards the end of their session when she heard Lance knock on her door. She bit her lip but nodded to her therapist, who packed up her things and opened the door. The therapist looked at Lance, resting a hand on her plump hip but then walked past him, letting him enter the room. Jinora looked away from the door way, choosing to distract herself by touching the wilting petals of the daffodils. She had tried preserving them in water, but they, of course, still wilted and it made her sad and constantly remember that not everything lasted long.

Lance watched a woman pass by her, she gave him a look but he only smiled at her hoping he was still allowed in. When she didn't object and walked past he assumed it was okay. He walked up to Jinora's bedside and sighed. "Hey," He said, he didn't know what else to say. He noticed Everly wasn't there and then he noticed the flowers he brought. He should have brought more, but he couldn't make his friend stop somewhere else as well.

"Hello." Jinora said softly and let her hand drop back down onto her lap as she slowly looked up at him. Her eyes were tired and a bit puffy from all the crying she had been doing, her glasses were no where in sight either.

Lance stared at her face, noticed her eyes were puffy. He knew she had been crying, over what, he wasnt sure. "Are you okay to talk?" He asked knowing she might not want to.

She nodded. "Yes...my therapist thinks it's best that I talk more instead of bottling up all of my emotions."

Lance nodded, he was glad she was getting help. He cleared his throat , glad Everly wasn't here after all. "I won't tell anyone." He said bluntly to her, he felt it wasn't his place to do so. He wasn't going to called a nark.

"You won't?" Jinora repeated and looked up at him. "Thank you so much Lance...I could handle it if people knew about me, but it's Everly I was worrying about, I don't think she'd be able to handle people knowing."
