"Well, I think my mom would choose a place close to here to have them sent in." he replied and looked at her again. "You just look kind of sick," he said softly, "are you okay?"

Sophie nodded, "Aw just for a year?" She said with a small pout. "Well that's no fun." She said teasing him. "Tidewater is...different. In England my father sent me to an all girls boarding school, which wasn't that much fun. Then he met my step mum a little over a year and then we moved here." She told him with a small smile.

Jake chuckled softly,"Yeah, just for our senior year, then Reed and I will probably end up going back to Texas for college. You must be a lot happier to be here than an all girls boarding school." he couldn't help but smile back at her. "Tidewater's different? Is it a good different?"

"Hmm so you're a senior." She said kinda bumped out. Once he knew about her being a sophomore he would probably want nothing to do with her. "A lot of interesting things happen. I'm just not used it probably." She told him looking over to where his brother was. "Do you want to get lunch?" She asked giving him a sweet smile hoping he would say yes.

He nodded, "Yeah, I'm a senior, something wrong with that?" he asked teasingly then glanced back his brother, deciding that he would be fine on this own for once. "Yeah, I'm starving. Where's a good place to eat around here? Is there a lot of drama at this school?" he asked curiously, "There was a lot of it back at my old school."

"No nothing wrong with that." Sophie said smiling laughing slightly. "Good I'm hungry too." she said gathering up her things. "Well there is this really good diner not far from here...but I can't drive yet." she told him laughing. "Not used to driving on the other side of the road." she told him nodding slightly. "Yeah kinda but you just stay with the right crowd there won't be drama."

He laughed softly, "We can take my rig, it's no big deal. I need to stop and check on my horse anyway." he nodded thoughtfully, "I think I'll just stick with my brother and see what happens. What grade are you in?"

"Rig? You have a horse? Me too!" she said following him. "Yeah you're better off." she said trailing off as he asked her grade. "Um...a sophomore..." she told him a bit embarrassed to tell him scared that he wouldn't want anything to do with her after this.

Jake nodded, "Just a sophomore? You look more like a junior." he winked. "You have a horse? Mine's a big bronco I use in the rodeo's, his name's Biscuit, well," his face flushed slightly, "he use to be mine, but he's my brothers now. I switched from broncos to bull riding and I keep forgetting that Biscuit isn't mine any more. Yeah, rig. I drive a huge lifted dodge truck."

Sophie blushed slightly when he winked at her and giggled, "Aw well still...my horses name is Shadow a black quarter horse." she told him nodding slightly confused about his truck. "Oh...I don't think I've been in one of those before." she said laughing.

Carly inhaled sharply, nervously glancing around to see if there was anything she could catch her reflection in. Nothing, of course. Did she look sick? "No, I'm okay really," she mumbled as she lifted her hand to her cheek, as if she could feel if she looked sick or not. Why did everyone always say she looked sick? She wasn't sick, she knew she wasn't. "I'm just tired. I'm sure I look tired."

Jake chuckled softly, "Wanna come see it? Then we can go get some lunch and I'll show you the horse and bull, does that sound good?" he asked.
Reed nodded slowly, reaching up and gently pressing the back of his hand to her forehead. "You don't seem to have a fever," he mused, "I guess you must be tired."

Sophie switched putting her stuff from one arm to the other and nodded, "Um yeah! Doing anything else beats doing homework." she said smiling. "Sounds great actually. You have a bull too...is it friendly? Don't people get like...trampled by them sometimes?" she asked him looking him over pretty happy that she was talking to such a cute guy.

Carly relaxed a little as he agreed with her. "Yeah, I am," she said with a nod. She paused as her phone buzzed, and she stared down at it, her mouth dropping open slightly. "Oh, wow," she mumbled, her eyebrows shooting up, "Have you heard of the Shark Tank? My friend just told me about it and sent me a link to it." She turned her screen so that he could see it and pointed to something on it. "They seem to like you already. Your brother, not so much." She turned her phone back around and scrolled through the blog a bit more, rolling her eyes. "How childish is this?"

Jake chuckled softly "I'm with you there, home work sucks." As they spoke he slowly started walking towards the parking lot. "Bulls are dangerous in certain circumstances, but when they're alone they're okay. He shouldn't attack, but that's why we stay out his pen."
Reed frowned, "What do you mean they like me and not Jake?" he hadn't seen too much of blog since she had turned her phone so fast. "What's wrong with my brother?" he asked a bit worriedly, "He hasn't done anything wrong."

Walking to the parking lot she looked around trying to see if she could pick out his truck. "Oh right, don't hear that much around here. Students having bulls for pets." she teased him. "I hope you're hungry by the way." she said smiling. "Because I'm starving."

Carly shrugged, frowning when she came to the Hot or Not list for the female students. "Don't worry," she huffed, rolling her eyes again, "They apparently don't like me either." She held her phone out for him to take. She glanced down, studying her thin legs and torso. She wasn't too skinny; they had to be blind. She poked at her stomach absently, frowning at it with disgust.

Jake laughed softly, "So far, I'm the only one and I'm starving too. I tend to eat a lot." he lead her to a bright red, lifted dodge truck and pulled out his key, unlocking the door and opening it for her, "I think I'm going to need to help you in shorty." he said teasingly. The truck was so high that it was going to be a challenge to get in if someone couldn't grab onto one of the inner handles.
Reed took her phone and looked at both lists, a frown crossing his face. "Jake isn't too protective...and he has a right to be since my accident." he said softly, then looked at Carly. She really was too skinny and he could tell it wasn't a natural skinny and seeing her poke at her stomach made his frown deepen as his concern went up. "Is something wrong with your stomach?" he asked softly.

Carly's head snapped back up when he spoke, and she shook it vigorously. "No, I just wanted to see if I was too skinny like they said," she mumbled, pulling her hand away from her stomach and reaching to take her phone back. She eyed him curiously, his words registering finally. "You had an accident?"

"Me too so don't worry, we can eat a lot together." Sophie said looking at his truck. "Oh wow..." she said before laughing. "Um yeah you might have to." she said which she didn't really mind, it meant him touching her and she could feel how strong he was. "Well what are you waiting for?" she said putting her stuff on the floor of the car.
