Emanuel laughed. "I should tell you about the time I got lost once and ended up leaving Israel. I spent about 12 hours in Jordan with no passport and no money. My parents still make fun of me for it today." he got out into the residence hallway. "Hang on a second, please." he said and walked over to the door again. He took his key and turned it in the lock 6 times, making sure that the door was DEFINITELY locked before he caught up with Christian.

Christian laughed, "Oh man, hopefully you don't get too lost here. This city is huge and complicated to navigate."

"Well I didn't have an Iphone then" he said and took his iphone 5c out of his pocket. "This thing is very useful. I actually used it to get to campus." he checked the time twice before putting his phone back in his pocket.

Christian let out a low whistle. "Dang, all I got is the Motorola Droid RazrM." he replied, pulling out his phone, which had a Thor themed case.

"My parents got me this for Hanukkah this year." Emanuel said and shrugged. "The bill is pretty cheap as far as I know. Like, under 50 dollars but I haven't asked about it....I locked the door, right?"

"That's pretty cool, I've had this thing for ages, but it's trusty so I keep it around." he smiled and glanced back at their door. "I'm pretty sure you did."

"You are just.... pretty sure?" he responded, tempted to turn around and check again. He decided to just keep walking forward though, even if it made his head hurt. "Where did you say this place was?"

"Yeah, you want to go back and check it?" He asked, stopping in his tracks. "I don't mind if you do, the cafe isn't too far from campus. It'll only take five minutes to get there."

"No, it is fine...." Emanuel said and then stopped walking. "Actually yeah I think I will do that, thank you." he said and dashed over to the door. He checked it quickly and caught up to Christian. "I'm probably going to get a cappuccino if they have those."

Christian chuckled softly as he waited then started walking again. "They probably do. They have these Red Bull smoothie thing. They're pretty good."

Christian laughed softly and nodded. "Yup, they call it the Red Bomb, it's pretty awesome, and if you tell them that you're a student at Tidewater you get a discount."

"Oh this just gets better and better" he said and grinned. "I don't need a student ID for the discount, do I? I have not yet got one." he said, tripping up on his English. "Have not yet....gotten?" he corrected himself and shook his head.

Christian smiled. "I under stand what you mean. You don't need your ID, they just take your word for it, which is pretty awesome since I lose my ID all the time."

He chuckled softly and nodded, relaxing once they were outside in the fresh air. "So what other sorts of things do you like? Do you have a girlfriend back home or something?" He asked curiously, thinking of his girl and a soft smile crossed his face.

"I like to watch TV. Its kind of a boring thing, but it is a thing none-the-less." He laughed softly. "No, I do not have a girlfriend" he said, taking in the outside air. "Do you?"

"Yeah," Christian replied with a soft smile. "Her name is Nanette, but everyone calls her Bunny. We just started dating a couple weeks ago and went to the Valentines Day dance together." He headed down one of the sidewalks that lead them past a couple buildings and ran parallel with the beach. Christian looked out at the water with a wistful gleam in his eyes as a sudden urge to swim hit him.

"Good for you!" he said with a smile. He looked at the water, and felt a pang of homesickness. The Mediterranean sea was so far away. Emanuel let out a shaky sigh, and looked down at the ground to make sure he wasn't stepping on any cracks.
