Payton looked at the time, it was time to go see Gale in the music room for another music lesson. She came to the room seeing him already there practicing, opening the door walking in. "Hey...look at you practicing." she said smiling to him.

Gale looked up quickly, he stopped playing and removed his hands, placing them in his laps. He smiled up at her. "Yea, well this is the only time since yesterday." he confessed.

"Oh well it doesn't sound that bad just a few wrong notes here and there." Payton told him smiling putting down her bag and took out the books. "Here we are, books for beginners." she told him smiling going over sitting next to him.

"Oh, I was only trying to go up and down really," Gale said feeling like a failure in a way. He took one of the books from her and opened it up to the first lesson. "So teacher, shall we begin?" he asked, taking off his jacket and tossing on the floor next to his bag.

"I know but at least it was something." Payton told him watching him toss off his jacket. "Yes we shall." she said looking to the first page of the book. "So here we mostly have scales...do you want me to write which note is which or do you know?" she asked him.

Gale shook his head, "Do you mind writing them down and showing me?" He asked feeling like a five year old again, not knowing any of the notes on the paper. He shifted his weight so he was sitting pretty close to Payton, their arms touching every so often.

"No I don't mind, that's why I'm asking." Payton said quietly smiling taking out a pencil writing down the notes for the scales. "I'm sure by the end of this lesson you can do these scales with no problem." she told him feeling his arm touch her every now and then as she started to teach him the piano.

Fake nodded, look from the sheet to the piano keys before placing his hands on what he thought was the correct placement. "So, do you always start with C?" He asked, playing the note but nothing else.

The hour was up, and Payton had giving him some sheet music for him to practice his scales with until next week when she saw him for the lesson. She smiled putting her things back in her backpack looking to him. "You did pretty well today, I'm impressed." she told him zippering up her backpack.

Gale took the papers from her hand, his fingertips brushed against hhers, sending flames into his fingertips and hands. "Thank you, I hope you are right." He said smiling. He placed the papers in his backpack and grabbed his jacket. "Are you hungry?" He asked, hanging his jacket over his arm.

Payton blushed a little bit as their fingertips touched not even knowing why she was blushing. She smiled at his question, not really hungry but she wanted to hang out with him. "Yeah...we can go get something off campus. What do you feel like?" she asked him.

Gale smiled and grabbed his backpack. "Sure, do you know of many places?" He asked not having a car made it difficult to get off campus.

"Yeah, I mean it's where you feel like eating. Burgers, pizza, Mexican, seafood." she told him smiling picking up her back taking out her car keys walking out of the room.

Gale shrugged. "I'm a growing guy, I could eat anything." He said knowing he could. He wish he didn't ha e to rely on someone for a car ride, but there were reasons for him not having one.

Payton laughed, "Oh yeah I forgot. Guys have black holes for a stomach." she said going to her car. "So what about some Mexican?" she asked. "Ever have it before?" she asked him as she got in her car.

Gale laughed "yea, pretty much. though I have to work off the food I over eat," he said patting his flat stomach. "Ugh, I'm not a huge fan. I guess I just haven't had good Mexican food. He said thinking back to his few years here, most of the time the only food he liked, were the ones his adoptive mother made.

"Oh lord. I will take you to this Mexican restaurant, best in California state. You'll change your mind after you have some food from there." Payton told him turning on her car. "It's like an hour out though so is that okay with you?" she asked not sure if he had a class he had to get back to.

"I'm taking your word for it. But you better be right," gale jokingly teased as he jumped into the passenger side. He shrugged, I'm done with classes today he said glad he was done.
