Payton smiled as he pulled her close for some reason feeling safe with him around. "Hey look it's one of those horseshoe crabs!" she said moving over to it frowning. "Aw it's dead though." she said looking at it. "These things used to scare me as a little girl." she said to him.

The back of Gale's neck began to tingle but he refused to rub it, he didn't want to worry Payton anymore with his problem. He looked up to see what she was exclaiming and saw an odd shaped creature on the sand. He cringed "They look pretty scary." He admitted getting close to it. He could see why it was called a horseshoe crab, though it was pretty ugly.

Gale shrugged "I can tell with your clothes on that you don't need to," He slightly lied knowing clothes can be deceiving. He had wrapped his arm around her several times before and knew there wasn't anything to hide underneath. He took his time sitting down and covered his eyes from the setting sun's rays.

"Okay," Gale said thinking he wouldn't ruin her dream just yet. "Sure," he said taking her hand and pulling himself up. He brushed the sand off his pants as best he could. "This is what I hate about sand," He said thinking it got everywhere even if you weren't exactly rolling in it.
