It's been a few days since she first met Jake, and it's be a great few days spending time with him, even his brother. She couldn't help but like him, and she found herself liking him even more each day. She wasn't sure if this was going to turn into something, though she kinda hoped it did. Everything that happened so far has just felt right to her, he was right for her. She was always smiling when around him, she loved it. She looked to her horse Shadow as she pulled him away from grazing on the grass to go groom him before she put him away in his stall. She brought out her grooming stuff and started to brush her horse, wondering if Jake was here with his brother practicing or something, she wanted to see him.

Jake and Reed drove up in their own trucks to the stables, almost immediately parting ways, Jake heading out to his bull while Reed headed into the stables, whistling a cheerful tune to himself.
Jake looked towards the stables, a smile crossing his lips as he thought of Sophie, sure that she was in there. He would have gone to seen her, but he had to check out his bull before anything else. He walked out to the pen and got Musket ready, tilting his hat back on his head.

Sophie zoned out a bit as she brushed Shadow snapping back when she heard whistling. She peeked around Shadow seeing Reed, which only ment Jake was here too. "Hey Reed!" she said putting her brush away getting out the pick to clean her horses hooves.

Reed looked at her and grinned, glad that she could tell the two apart. He remembered the first, and last, time she mistook him for Reed, she had practically flung herself onto him in a smothering hug. "Hey Soph," he greeted, "Jake's out with Musket when you wanna see him. How's Shadow doin?"

Sophie nodded smiling as he knew what she would ask for next. Finishing up she patted Shadow looking to Reed, "He's doing alright. He did well today gave him a bath to make sure he looks good for this weekends show." she told him giving him a treat. "How's Biscuit? He was a bit feisty last time." she said remembering him almost hitting her as he bucked.

Reed smiled bashfully, "Sorry about that, I think he's doing better. He's always been kind of a jerk. Must be from the rodeo life style."

"Oh it's fine really. You're brother was the one who almost had a heart attack." She said giggling. "I've been bucked at before." She told him placing Shadow in his stall. She walked over to where Biscuit was giving him a treat. "I forgive him." She said giving Biscuit a kiss on his nose.

Reed chuckled softly and smiled, "Yeah, Jake tends to overreact a lot. I guess that's a thing that just comes with being the older brother." he watched as Biscuit whickered softly and ate the treat.

Sophie nodded, "Yeah but it's cute." She said petting Biscuit. "I'm going to go see Jake now. I'll see you out there." She told Reed walking out of the stables to where Jake was with Musket. "Hey there cowboy." she called over to him stepping up on the railing leaning forward a bit.

Jake looked over at her and smiled, standing on the side of the railing, about to hop on Musket, who was in the little pen, ready to go. "Hey darlin' you're here in time to watch me train."

Sophie smiled, "Oh yeah? Well let's see what you got. Don't get hurt though." She told him placing her chin in her hands to watch him.

Jake laughed softly, "I'll be fine babe." he hopped on Musket and pulled a rope, opening the door that released the bull into the pen, holding on tight as Musket whipped back and forth crazily. Reed grunted, his hat flying off his head and getting trampled by the bull as it got faster and whipped side to side, jumping up and down.

Sophie bit her lip watching him not being able to help but feel nervous. She's seen him done it before but she still always got worried if he fell off and got trampled. She hopped off the railing sitting down on a table that was near to watch him from there instead.

Jake held on tight until he was finally bucked off. He rolled to the ground, scrambling to his feet and ran, sliding under the railing on his back, Musket's front hooves missing his head by mere inches.
Jake jumped up, his eyes going wide. "Whoa! That was close!" he said with a grin, running a had through his hair and walked over to Sophie.

Sophie watched him until he fell off putting her hands over her eyes so she couldn't watch. Peeking through seeing him almost get hit in the head nearly giving her a heart attack. "Jesus Christ Jake." She said placing her hand over her heart laughing. " I think you should wear a helmet you know that?"

"Naw, helmets are lame." he grinned, walking over and picked her up like she weighed nothing, which to him she felt like a bag of feathers. "I did't scare the pee outta yeah, did I?" he asked teasingly and pressed a kiss to her forehead.

Sophie laughed wrapping her arms and legs around him. "You almost did. But not as bad as the other day when Biscuit nearly hit me. I thought you might have pissed yourself." She said smiling leaning in kissing him.

"Well, you could've been seriously hurt." he murmured, returning her kiss, the memory of her almost being trampled making him pull her even closer. Despite the short time they spent together Jake couldn't help but feel connected to Sophie, in a way that he never thought would be possible, and now he didn't want to let her go.

Sophie smiles against his lips pulling away giving him a hug. "I know can't say your hat had any luck." She said laughing looking over seeing his hat trampled in the dirt. She rubbed the back of his neck looking back to him smiling, "You did well though. Stayed on longer then last time."

He laughed softly "Oh well, I have hundreds more of those hats." he leaned into her touch and sighed, "That's good, I'm always determined to shave more off my time."
