Sophie smiled, "Good so I can steal one." she said laughing cupping his face. "Well you're getting better. You'll be my champion." she told him. She kisses him once more, "My dad is picking me up in twenty minutes." she told him.

Jake smiled and returned her kiss, "Looks like we need to make the best of our time then until he comes." he gently squeezed her.

Sophie nodded resting her head in his chest, "I know...you can probably meet him of you want. I can see if I can stay longer." She said smiling looking up to him. "I want to watch you and your brother practice." She said pulling him closer.

Jake smiled softly, "Then I'll meet your Pa and you can try to convince him to let you stay. I'll be sure to be on my best behavior." he grinned and brushed some hair out of her face.

"Okay, he might be a little weird he has to get used to seeing me around boys." She told him smiling when he moved some hair from her face. "Oh I got Musket some treats." She said giggling getting up going over to the fence.

Jake chuckled, "As long as he doesn't try to scare me off or hate's me right away, everything will be fine." he watched her and smiled. "Don't you always have treats?"

"Nah just put on your southern charm and he'll like you." She told him. "Hey they are just carrots! I eat them too." She teased calling Musket over giving him the carrots. "He probably likes me more than he likes you." She said giggling.

"Pft, who knows, to him I'm the guy whose trying to steal his beloved daughter away." he followed her and rested a hand on her lower back. "He likes me more, I've raised him since he was just a calf."

"Aw are you going to ask him if you could date me?" She teased poking his side. "Yeah well I give him treats and he keeps nudging my bum too!" She said laughing hearing a car pull up behind her. "Oh look there he is now." She said waving to him.

Jake just chuckled, "Well, you have a nice bum, it's hard for me not to touch it." he said teasingly then turned around, looking back at her dad, actually kind of nervous. If her dad didn't like him, then what could he do? It wasn't good to have a friends parent not like them.

"I wouldn't mind if you did." Sophie told him smirking up to him. She went over to her dads car as he got out talking to him about Jake explaining it to him. She smiled walking back over to where Jake was. "Jake this is my dad, John. Dad this is Jake." She introduced them hoping everything will go well.

Jake looked at her Dad and smiled kindly, holding out his hand. "Howdy sir, it's nice to finally meet you." he said, trying to look like a good guy, though he was covered in dirt.

Sophie smiled as her dad shook his hand which was a good sign at least. "I was kinda hoping I could stay here a bit longer to watch him and his brother practice. Jake will give me a ride home." She said looping her arm with Jakes.
"Alright I don't see the problem with that. No one will be home so make sure you have your key." John told her smiling to Jake. "Nice to meet you. Hope to see you again soon."

Jake relaxed and smiled back, "I hope to see you again too sir, it was nice to finally meet you, and I promise to return your daughter in one piece."

Sophie laughed nudging Jake before walking back with her dad to the car getting some money from him. She kissed him on the cheek and gave him a hug before watching him get in and drive off. Turning back to him smiling, "See that want so bad."

"Are you still going to practice? I haven't seen your brother practice yet." She said walking back over to him wrapping her arms around his waist. "Or do you have other plans for us?" She asked smirking.

Sophie smiled, "Well my dad said no one would be home at my house...and since you won't let me pay for dinner I should at least make you dinner." She told him leaning up kissing his lips. "But I want you to finish practicing first." She said smiling.
