He chuckled softly and nodded, "We had some pretty good parties back home too, though keggers and rednecks don't go very well together. We tried cow tipping a few times, my buddy almost got crushed." he laughed, shaking his head and looking down.

"So cow tipping is an actual thing to do?" Sophie said laughing. "I thought it was only in movies or something..." She took a bit of her burger chewing and swallowing before taking again. "I don't think they have cows here I want to try it now!"

Jake laughed, surprised at how excited she sounded. "It's an actual thing, and it's hilarious, but a bit dangerous if there's ever a stampeded or the cow falls the wrong way, or if a farmer finds you and threatens to shoot you if he ever see's your face again." he grinned.

"Well I'm glad they didn't shoot that pretty face of yours." She said smirking giggling starting to eat her food again. "Me and my friends would always go into those haunting castles in England. Those were always fun." Sophie said nodding, "Ever go into a haunted house?"

Carly laughed, shaking her head slightly. "Trust me, they'll be posting about you and your brother again," she told him with a shrug, "You guys kind of catch the attention of a lot of people around here." She picked up his hat from the bench and waved it in front of his face. "This is reason number one. Look around; people are staring at you."

Jake laughed and grinned, "You went to haunted castles? That's sweet! I would love to go to a haunted place, we never had any good haunted places down in Texas."
Reed looked at his hat and laughed, "Not our fault that we're country when no one else is. I ain't changing my style for no one, especially a blog."

Carly laughed as she placed his hat back down on the bench beside her. "Then I guess you'll have to get used to being noticed around here," she said, grinning at him, "Don't worry, I like it. You shouldn't have to change your style because someone else thinks it's strange. It's different, something we're not used to here."

"I'm sure they have a few good ones here in California. We should go to one sometime, if you're not too scared that is." she said munching on some of her fries almost finished with her meal. "Rather do something outside of the school so I don't get blogged about anymore." she said rolling her eyes thinking back about what it said about her. It then hit her that if her sister read it she would probably freak out on her too.

Reed smiled, "If one can't be themselves, than what's the point of anything? There's no point to hiding who you are from the world, besides, diversity is a good thing to have."
Jake chuckled softly, "I dunno, we tend to make fun of Californians when they come on down to our rodeo's back home." he finished his steak, leaning back in his seat, "Did you get enough to eat?"

"But I'm not from California so you can't make fun of me." Sophie told him nodded. "Oh yeah, I'm full." she said giving him a smile. "Did you enjoy your steak?" she asked seeing he finished everything on his plate. "Someone was hungry wasn't he?" she said laughing.

Jake laughed, "I'm always hungry, doll face. I'm a growing boy." he said with a wink, "Would you like to head on back to the school?"

Sophie laughed, "Yeah that's true. I just home you're not growing too much or you'll be a giant." she told him sliding out of the booth, "Not so fast you promised to show me your brothers horse, and your bull." she told him holding her hand out for him to grab.

He chuckled and put his hand I hers, carefully getting up. "Oh yeah, I forgot, my bad." he paid their bill then headed back to his truck. "I won't be that much of a giant if I grow a couple inches taller." he teased, opening the door to his truck for her and got ready to help her in.

"Well that's still pretty tall compared to me. Pretty sure you could just pick me up with one arm." she said laughing looking up at his truck. "So we meet again.." she said turning to him. "You know you should really get like a ladder on this thing so people like me can actually get in like a normal person." she teased waiting for him to put her in the truck once more.

Jake laughed, "I don't have room for a ladder tall enough to help you in." he teased, then swiftly picked her up, set her in her seat then closed the door and got in the drivers side. He started up his truck and headed off down the road that lead out of town.

Sophie smiled, "Hm fine. I kinda like you helping me in the truck anyways." she said laughing crossing her legs looking out the window. "Are you going to the homecoming dance?" she asked kinda hoping he was. She could only imagine how sexy he looked in a tux. She grinned at the thought of that, and possibly even dancing with him that night.

Carly smiled sadly as Reed spoke, nodding her head slowly. "That's right," she said as she chewed on her bottom lip. She wondered if he actually believed that. Was diversity really all that great when people always got made fun of for being different? Who wanted to be themselves when they were constantly being pushed down for it? "Try telling that to the Shark Tank," she mumbled, frowning at him.

Jake tilted his head and nodded, "Yeah, I'm not big into dancing, but it's senior year, so I'll go. Are you going?" he looked over at her curiously.
Reed looked at the sky, "Screw the Shark Tank, the people running it obviously have worse lives than use if they have the time to make up that garbage." he said with a simple shrug. "If they don't like me for who I am then screw them. Their loss."

"You don't have to be big in dancing to go. I'm going because their is going to be free food." she told him laughing playing her hair. "I already got my dress so of course I'm going. I feel bad because my sister didn't get a date yet." she said looking to him. She looked out the window realizing they were a bit far out of town. "I think you keep you horse and bull the same place I keep my horse." she said laughing lightly.

Jake grinned "The food must be good, maybe I'll go." he looked over at Sophie, "Do you have a date?" he turned down a dirt road and rolled down his window, ignoring some of the dust that blew in, which made him think of home.
