"Oh uh, you heard me say that...." Winnie said blushing deeply. "It was weeks ago, he promised to take me to lunch and I am... Antisocial so I tried to hide when he appeared at my door," She tried explaining it. "I .... Like your cousin," She said blushing deeply.

Hanley snorted a little, biting back a laugh when she tried to imagine that scene, but quickly went quiet when she head Winnie's confession. "You....like Rosco?" She asked slowly.

Winnie's eyes widen with fear. "I meant like... Friends you know," She said trying to cover it up, though she didn't understand why she was covering up something that wasn't true, at least she didn't really want it to be true.

Hanley laughed softly. "It doesn't matter to me how you like him, I'm just glad he's making friends...he isn't the most confident in social interaction either...it may seem like he is, but he's almost more self conscious than me."

Winnie let out a sigh of relief, she didn't want to go into detail about her and Rosco's relationship and her feelings if there were any. She smiled feeling much better now that she had time to breath and focus on not crying. "Thanks, Hanley." She said feeling like she could be friends with her, though she wasn't sure how social she had to be to keep it up.

"No problem, if you ever need to talk, just find me." Hanley replied with a smile. "I know Rosco can be a handful, I had to grow up with him and go to the same school as him for my whole life."

"Thanks," Winnie said feeling odd that she made an actually female friend. She listened to her talk about being around Rosco her entire life and she couldn't imagine dealing with that. She cringed "Wow, no offense to him, but I would want to hide under my bed a lot if I was you," She joked laughing.
There came a loud knock on the bathroom door and some very angry voices outside demanding the door be open. "Guess it's time to go.." Winnie said laughing nervously.

Hanley laughed. "Despite all that, I wouldn't have it any other way. Rosco is like my brother...I can't imagine living without him, especially after all the crap he's been through." She glanced at the door and rolled her eyes. "Apparently they can't find the ladies room on the other side of the gym." She said with a sassy tone, but smiled. "Shall we go try to enjoy ourselves?"

Winnie smile grew, she was glad that at least he was bearable, though she was curious about what happened to him, with the banging on the door she didn't feel is was appropriate to answer that. She went to the door and unlocked it, a flock of girls pushed past her and into the bathroom, running straight for the mirrors. Winnie rolled her eyes and looked to Hanley, "Lets enjoy the rest of tonight,"

Hanley rolled her eyes with Winnie. "Yes. Let's go have some fun." She said and left the bathroom, looking around the dance and spotting Rosco, who was leaning back in a corner, talking with a pretty, stick thin blond.

Winnie noticed Rosco speaking with a blonde and stopped walking, she felt like a rock had just dropped to the bottom of her stomach and she had to force herself to smile and look away.

Hanley looked over at Winnie and frowned. "You alright? You got a little pale there." She looked at Rosco then back to Winnie, slowly starting to understand. "Do you not like him talking to someone else?"

"N-no. He can talk to whoever he likes," Winnie said forcing her smile to grow as she headed over to Rosco, only begging in her mind the blonde would leave before they arrived.

Hanley sighed, but let Winnie lie and followed her, a slow grin crossing her face when she saw Rosco look at Winnie as she approached, his whole face lighting up as he turned his attention away from the blond. "Nothing to worry about." Hanley mused to herself as she blond pouted at being ignored.

"Hey, sorry about that." Winnie said to Rosco, noticing the blond hadn't left. She swallowed nothing but dry air and kept her fake smile on. "So, who is your new friend?" She asked.

Rosco smiled, "It's no problem, girls have to do girl stuff." He looked at the blond and furrowed his brow. "This is...Veronica, right?"
"Vicky." She other girl replied tartly, glaring at Winnie and Hanley.

Winnie snorted, trying to hold back a laugh at the face Rosco forgot the girls name, maybe she wasn't a threat after all, though she didn't think she had a change anyways. "Nice to meet you Vicky." She said politely.

Vicky just glared at Winnie and said nothing. Rosco watched, frowning slightly. "If you excuse us Vicky, I think we're all going to sit down. We can talk later." He walked between Winnie and Hanley and smiled, heading towards one of the empty tables. Hanley couldn't help but snicker, Rosco was always so blunt.

Winnie shut her mouth and tried not to smile as she raised her eyebrows in surprise. She followed after Rosco, walking next to Hanley. "Is he always like that?" She whispered wondering if he was always so blunt.

Hanley laughed softly and nodded. "Pretty much, he isn't the best with human interaction. He's pretty oblivious..."
Rosco found a table and sat down, looking back at the girls.
