"I am just not into this hype of vampires," Lance said shrugging, he would go if she desperately wanted to go, but he would most likely fall asleep or grow bored and pretend to use the restroom while playing arcade games instead. "Um, That Awkward Moment looks funny, I think I saw an add on youtbue..." He said not mentioning what he was watching on youtube. He was thinking it was the comedy he had seen before hitting skip on the video but he wasn't entirely sure.

"Understandable," she said. "Vampires are just not what they used to be after Twilight rolled around." She didn't know much about the movie Lance had picked, however. Ellie looked at the times on the phone and caught a glimpse of the 'R' rating. Not many people paid attention to movie ratings, but Ellie did. It made her uncomfortable simply because it was something she shouldn't be doing. Movies were not that big of a deal. Somethings were just too gross for people. Some language was just too strong. "Let's do it then," she finally said. "There is a showing at 7:15 if you want to go to that one. I'll drive us up there." Lance probably shouldn't drive, she figured.

"Oh my God, Twilight is just horrible." Lance said laughing and rolling his eyes. He liked the old style vampires, like in Dracula. He waited for her while she looked at the showings. "If there is something else you want to see that's fine," he added hoping this movie wasn't something she didn't want to see it. "Sure, seven fifteen sounds good, should get going around six forty then?" he guessed thinking it would take some time to get to the theater and find good seats, he hated sitting in the first row.

She waved her hands playfully. "No. No. This one is fine." Ellie just didn't know what she was going to be getting herself into. Leaving at six forty gave Ellie plenty of time in order to get ready for their outing. Before long, the whistle blew to signify that it was the end of the class. Ellie gathered up her belongings and went to the locker rooms to get changed. - )(skip. hopefully its ok. if not disregard)) - A few hours later Ellie was dressed and ready for the movies. With this being the first outing in a long while, Ellie had opted to dress a bit nicer than usual. It wasn't a date or anything, and she knew that. But it didn't stop her from wearing a dress that was cut off just above her fingertips. Ooooo. No matter the occasion, Ellie was always a modest dresser. She had the sleeveless dress covered with a sweater. Theaters were often cold and she knew that.
Ellie approached Lance's door and gave a knock, really hoping that he didn't forget. She would have called, but she never did get his phone number.

((It's cool dude!))
Lance finished doing his hair when the knock came. He grabbed a gray sweater from his bed and slung it on over his plain blue v-neck shirt and jeans. He grabbed his wallet and keys and opened the door. "Hey," he said taking her outfit in wondering what century she had just walked out of. "Right on time," he quickly added as he closed and locked his door.

"Of course," she replied. On time was the only time people should arrive to an event. If she was late, then Lance might begin to worry that she had forgotten. If she was early then she might seem too pushy or eager for this. Ellie was excited for the most part. She led him to her car which was parked just outside the building and then looked over at Lance. She commented earlier that he was so large, but didn't realize it until now. It would be a tight fit inside her little 2010 Coupe. "Uhh.." she squeaked. "There's more room on the inside. Trust me." She went to the seat and pulled it back as far as it could go so there was plenty of room for his legs. "Just watch your head."
((ugh Lance rood. totally a cute outfit. lol))

Lance followed her out to her car, laughing when he saw it. It would be like a butt load of clowns getting out of a small car for him to sit in that. He nodded to her and waited for her to move the seat back before squeezing himself in. Once he sat back in the seat, it was comfortble. "Ready." He said, buckling himself in.

Ellie buckled herself in and drove to the theater pushing the limits of the speed limits but never going more than the five above their intended amount. "Do you go out a lot?" she asked him. "What sorts of things do you like to do?" Ellie knew very little about Lance when she thought about it. He was in her gym class so she knew that about him. He didn't like swimming and he was good at just about any other sport. But as to what he liked to do on his free time, she knew little. It wasn't hard to figure out in the first place that the two of them had different interests but maybe there was a little something.

Lance watched the scenery pass by in the window, he could tell his brain still needed resting and was glad he decided not to party. He turned to Ellie and thought, what did he like to do? "Video games, sports, girls." He snickered at the last one thinking it had been awhile, he would have to call a favor from Cassadee.

Girls. She wasn't sure if that was his response or if he missed a few words in there. Shifting uneasily in her seat Ellie's mind started to wander. Lance was a popular guy with all of the ladies. She witnessed it in class. Just how many of them was he close to? Did he actually sleep... Ellie cleared her thoughts not wanting to think about something like that. "I didn't peg you as the videogame type." She observed. And the conversation ended there as they made it to the theater. "If you pay for the movie, I will get the popcorn." It should be roughly the same price if she did the math correctly, and if Lance only wanted the basics.

"Well, I am not big into a lot of video games," Lance said, he didn't own his own console nor any games, he played whenever his guy friends held tournaments and such, he loved playing Football and Soccer mostly. But he never got into games like Assassins Creed or Bioshock, though he had played them before. Lance shrugged, "Sure," he said not very confidant as he pulled out his wallet and ordered two tickets for the movie.

Ellie's face fell into a frown. She thought it was a fair idea. She didn't think Lance wouldn't like it. "Would you rather.. I pay for myself?" she asked. "I just assumed that it would be easier that way so we weren't exchanging money all over the place or bothering the clerks with two separate receipts." She shyly pulled out her purse and thumbed through her wallet in search of some cash to give to him. "All I have is a credit card. Sorry," she mumbled. "Don't worry. I'll pay you back."

"Oh no that's fine," Lance said smiling. It wasn't the paying for oneself that was the probably, he had to be careful how much he spent was all. His grandma sent him only a little bit each month to last him. He wasn't always careful about the situation. "Lets just get a good sized popcorn with lots of butter, if that's okay with you." He said practically drooling at the thought of buttery popcorn.

"I can live with that," she laughed. Next time, she would make sure to ask Lance before she jumped to anything though. At the concessions stand she purchased a large tub of popcorn and a small drink for herself. And then it was time for the movie. She entered the theater and was surprised that there wasn't that many people there yet.. or maybe it was just an odd time for them to go. Or the movie was crap. Ellie walked up the stairs to a row where nobody was sitting yet. It was far back but still had a few empty rows behind them. She scooted through the rows, holding the popcorn up to avoid spilling it before she turned to Lance. "You're fine with this? I don't like sitting in rows with other people. Or with people behind me really.." she laughed awkwardly. No offense to the people already in there. Ellie just hated it when people bumped her seat or distracted her.

Lance followed after Ellie, not really thinking too much about the people around them, although there was a cute girl he winked at in row four he wished he could get to know, oh well. There's always after the movie. He nodded to Ellie, "That's fine, I always hate when someone puts their feet on my chair anyways." He said knowing he liked the very last row for that reason, and more. He took the seat next to her and grabbed a handful of popcorn, popping a kernel into his mouth one at a time enjoying the taste.

The movie started and was easy enough for Ellie to be comfortable at first. It was funny for the most part and gave Ellie a glimpse into a much more exciting life. But with each show of romance she grew uncomfortable. When somebody did more than a little but of kissing she would blush and look away out of the corner of her eyes. That didn't stop her from hearing anything

Lance enjoyed the movie for the most part, he laughed at the funny times, he nodded his head and chuckled at the sexual parts, and yawned at the romantic times just because he knew he could do better. He did though, start to feel really tired and wondered if as soon as they got back to the dorms he should hit the sack, it had been a long day of classes and he didn't take a nap like he should have before the movie. He yawned again as the movie came to an end and the lights in the theater turned up slightly.

She looked to Lance and noticed that he was looking a little bit tired and bored. She just wasn't fun for him to be with. Paired with the movie, there was a couple a few rows before her that had captured her attention midway through the movie. That was.. what people her age did these days. Then again, she didn't want to get intimate with somebody she could break up with the very next day. Even if the movie made her question the morals. Even if the movie made her yearn for a relationship or a more active social life. Lance was probably a good key to that. Looking at him now, he didn't seem itching for a party.
Ellie stood and stretched in her seat and begun to clean up the trash from the popcorn and drink. "That was decent," she told him. "It's hard for me to picture Zac Efron not singing int he middle of a school lunch room though. What do you think? You looked bored for a lot of it." Not that she was watching him or anything. Totally wasn't watching him.

"I never watched whatever movie he sings in," Lance lied. His friend Cassadee forced him to watch all three High School Musicals and it was agony. "Oh it wasn't that boring, I'm just feeling my brain falling asleep. I've been awake too long," he added yawning again.

"I think I much rather him in Hairspray though. I dunno.. I guess I'm just a sucker for any singing. If its a males voice, that is. I read once that girls get seduced the easier through their ears. Not sure if it's really true.." she mumbled. It seemed true enough for her. "Let's get you home," she giggled. Ellie nudged his shoulder lightly as though she was trying to keep him awake. He wouldn't fall asleep that fast. She pushed against him playfully to get him to move back to her car and opened the door for him. "Feel free to sleep. I'll wake you up when we get back."
