Winnie took in the atmosphere, kind of liking the little restaurant for being cozy. If they had wifi she would spend every waking hour there. She tentatively ioeed the menu, unsure if her stomach could handle being out of her comfort zone and food at the same time.

Rosco looked through the menu curiously. "They have a cheeseburger that has a layer of shrimp and pineapple."

Winnie contemplated getting that or an order of beer battered shrimp when the waitress arrived. She was nice though Winnie noticed she acted like she and Rosco were dating. "Water please," she said when the waitress asked for drinks. She would love to have Dr. Pepper, but she knee she would have twenty of those before they food eve arrived.

"I'll take a Dr. Pepper." Rosco replied, still looking through the menu and trying to figure out what he wanted to eat.

Winnie drummed her fingers on the table, suddenly feeling oodd that there was silence. She decided to take this oppurtunity to look Disco over, seeing as the first time she was too busy hiding her face to get a good look. She started with his face, nothing unusual though nothing struck as something amazing until he looked up at her.

Rosco looked at her and tilted his head. "You okay?" she was looking at him odd and he was starting to hope that his hair wasn't all messed up or something. His hair had a habit of sticking out in random directions. Like a hedgehog.

Winnie stared into his eyes, they were unbelievably blue to her. To her it was like looking into the soul of the ocean, she felt that sounded cheesy in her head and shook the thought away. She realized then, when he spoke, that she had been staring. "Huh?" She asked not hearing what he had said, her face was turning bright red from what she had done, hoping he didn't think she was weird.

"I was asking if you were okay, you seemed distracted." he replied, completely oblivious to her stare.

"Yeah, sorry. I tend to drift off sometimes," Winnie said blushing even deeper. She made a mental note not to stare at him again though it was hard with those eyes. "Soooo, are you enjoying your time at Tidewater?" she asked knowing it was a lame question.

He smiled kindly. "That's alright. I get distracted a lot to." he considered her question and rubbed his chin. "It's alright, it's a lot better than my old school for sure."

"Why is it better than your old school?" Winnie asked feeling like she already asked this.

He tilted his head. "Because people are nice here and aren't as two faced." he said simply then gave his order when their waitress came.

Winnie gave her order and the menu to the waitress before responding. "You haven't met everyone then have you," She said wondering if he had read the Shark Tank blog yet.

"Not a lot of people, but so far who I've met are good." he replied as he handed the menu to the waitress then leaned back in his seat.

"Well, keep it that way." Winnie said wondering if he was able to use a computer or the internet, she shook her head thinking that was a low blow to him seeing as he could be a computer genius for all she knew. "So are we going to get to know each other or is this a one time shot and no contact afterwards?" Winnie asked wanting to know how much effort she should be putting in.

Rosco frowned slightly in confusion. "Okay..." he said slowly. "Well, that depends on what you want. I would like to keep talking after this, but if you don't then that's okay I guess."

Winnie shook her head. "Sorry, it's just that there aren't nice people here either." she said hoping he would understand. Winnie didn't like being given the decision, but since he didn't say no she guessed. "We could be... Friends." She said as if saying the word friends was painful.

He nodded, "Well there's never going to be a place without mean people." he watched her closely as she spoke, wondering just what was going on in her head. "Friends would be nice." he agreed.

"True," Winnie mumbled wanting to warn him about the Shark Tank but decided against it. "Friends," Winnie said it again letting it roll of her tongue a little easier this time. She only called one other person here her friend and it wasn't easy getting to that point either.

Rosco nodded, "If I ever make you uncomfortable just tell me and I'll back off. I promise it won't hurt my feelings." he said with a kind smile.
