Winnie had just walked through the lunch line when one of the giant football players bumped into her, causing her tray of food to come crashing down onto the floor, barely missing her entirely. She looked up at tthe guy wwith a slight glare but she felt intimidated.
The football player laughed and pointed at her. "Sorry. Didn't SEE you there." He and his buddies thought that wwas hilarious.
Winnie rolled her eyes and picked up her tray, trying to salvage whatever she could.

Rosco frowned slightly as he witnessed what had happened, standing behind Winnie in line. He rolled his eyes at the idiots joke and stepped up next to Winnie's side. "We all know you're just being an asshole," he stated bluntly, not intimidated at all, especially since he was just as big as the other guy, "so you should apologize and move on from the lady here."

Winnie was going to let it all go when some random guy stepped up from behind her and started interrogating the guy. "Oh... No. There's no... No need for that. Thanks," She said struggling over what she was trying to say to the guy.
The football player laughed "You should listen to the lady. She doesn't want any trouble," He said to Rosco, his friends gathering around him.
Winnie knew the situation would get worse if the guy continued to provoke the player. "Please, I really don't want a big scene," She said though it was already too late, the entire cafeteria was staring in their direction. 'Where were teachers when you really needed them.' Winnie thought.

Rosco just shook his head. "Really? Because no matter what you'll just give her trouble. Which is pathetic, picking on a girl and all." he looked down at Winnie a bit helpless, there was no use in trying to stop this now.

Winnie could only look at him with desperation, hoping the guy would give up. She didn't want a fight, didn't want all these eyes on her. She was use to bullying and letting people get away with it. It was just easier to ignore it all in the end. Why did this guy have to change things.
The football player looked at Rosco hard, "You want a fight bro?" He asked, getting into his face, breathing like a bull trying to seem tougher.

Rosco raised an eyebrow, looking at the football player with boredom. "Not really, I see no point in it. I mean, we'd just beat the shit out of each other, embarrass ourselves, then what?" he asked.

Winnie let out a sigh of relief, maybe this guy wouldn't cause a fight after all.
The football player shook his head "Chicken" He shouted before walking off, making chicken sounds and moving his arms like they were wings.

"Wow, pretty mature." he rolled his eyes then looked at Winnie, scratching the back of his head. "I'm sorry about that, are you okay?" he asked, his voice soft as he turned his back to the crowd of faces looking at them so he was blocking her from their view.

Winnie could only look at the see of people staring at her. She tilted her head down as she tossed most of her food away, putting the tray in the return area. "Yeah, perfectly fine." She muttered, she was only able to safe the sandwich and apple since the sandwich was in a plastic bag. "Thanks," She said though it was hard to hear her as the bustle of students returned to the cafeteria.

Rosco leaned in, barely catching what she had to say. He looked down at what she had managed to save and frowned. "Hey, let me get you something better to eat," he offered, "we could go some where off campus, where people are actually considerate of others."

Winnie blinked at him and looked around her, wondering if he was talking to someone else. "Uh, are you talking to me?" She asked, pointing to herself. She looked down at his full tray. "You already paid for lunch anyways." She said shrugging.

"Yeah, I'm talking to you." he said with a curious tilt of his head, wondering just who else he could possibly be talking to. He looked at his lunch tray and shrugged, "then we can share. Simple solution."

Winnie smiled, it was sweet of him to offer. "Thank you, but honestly I am fine with just this." She said holding up her food, though she wasn't like other girls and loved her food. "I am sure you would finish that all without my help" She said jesting to his food.

Rosco chuckled softly, "True, but how about we split this," he held up his tray, "then, if we have time, go and grab some grub from off campus. It'll be my treat since I embarrassed you. Oh and if we don't have time at lunch, I'll just have to hunt you down and take you out after classed. I tend to be a very persistent person."

Winnie chuckled awkwardly, she wasn't use to someone besides Jacen being interested in her. "Alright," She said finally agreeing, since he said he was persistent. She walked around until she found an empty table, a few eyes followed where she went and she wanted nothing more than to be invisible again. "So do you make a habit of trying to start fights with people?" she asked him as she took a seat.

Rosco followed and sat across from her, ignoring all of the stares. He looked at Winnie quietly, pondering her question. "I wasn't trying to fight, I just don't appreciate those who have to hurt others for their own joy."

"It was an accident, I wasn't watching where I was going," Winnie said, piratically defending the bully. She unwrapped her sandwich and took one bite, but felt suddenly like she lost her appetite for it.

He held up his hands, "Hey," he said soothingly, "it's okay, it was all an accident and it's over for now. If you have any more problems with the guy go to the nearest teacher or try to find me. Accidents happen and sadly bullying is just a part of life."

Winnie sighed, she knew the next time it happened, she would ignore it and move on with her life. She took another bite of her sandwich, her appetite coming back a little. "So, do you have a name?" She asked.

He nodded and held out this hand, "The names Rosco, what's yours?" he asked then took a bite of his sandwich with his free hand.
