Shannon likes the typical girly things, anything pink and fluffy. Her favorite hobbie? Shopping for clothes, well that's not her absolute favorite hobbie, the other one she doesn't let people know about unless there's no other option. She loves to read books, any books; Fantasy, Romance, and anything with a little bit of fighting it. She loves purses and shoes, shopping at the mall. She loves to go and hang out at parties, drink a little and have some "fun". The utmost important thing you must remember with Shannon is that she loves being the center of attention.
Dislikes
Of course she has dislikes, who doesn't? If you liked everything in the world there is obviously something WRONG with you. Anyways of course the first thing she hates is not being the center of attention, she will kick you down to be the center of attention. She hates the color orange, and does not own a single thing that is that awful color. Never ever ever approach her if you are dirty in anyway, dirt on your shoes or clothes is a no no to her. Other than that she is pretty good at not hating things... Or people... Sometimes...
Family
She has three older step-siblings in their late twenties from her fathers first marriage. She has only met them once or twice and could care less about them since they are only half siblings to begin with. Her Father is Cody James Flores, and he is a big time lawyer for some big time people. Her mother is Sonja Flores and she really does nothing but complain and spend money. She is glad to be out of the house where her mother just criticizes her but cannot wait till she turns 18.
'Cause you told me that I would find a hole
Within the fragile substance of my soul
Friends
The Friends: Matthew Press, Reagan Covington
The Enemies: None yet, sure to be some.
The Crush: None - Doubt there will be one.
Acquaintances: Chase Monroe, Emanuel Shalev
And I have filled this void with things unreal
And all the while my character it steals
Why she thinks the way she does
[Stuck up -] Shannon is very stuck up. She knows she is gorgeous and won't let you forget it. She believes that everyone should be gorgeous and if you're not, you should work on it to improve your looks and reminds you of where your place is in her world.
[Two Face -] She is the best at putting one face for one person and a completely different face for someone else. She can be nice to those who catch her at the right moment and a complete bitch to others just for talking to her.
[Spoiled -] Shannon is spoiled rotten, mostly by her father. If she sees something she likes she will do anything and everything in her power to get it .
[Reader +] Despite all her mean sides to her, she has one soft spot and that is reading. A past time she once shared with her father, she hardly lets anyone in on this secret. She feels that one day someone will pin her as a softy and everyone will assume they can just walk out on her.
[Intelligent +] Shannon believes that despite her looks she needs to get the best grades in school. No blonde here because she gets straight A's with a GPA of 4.0.
[Scared -] In the end Shannon is really scared of the outside world. She is worried that she will end up alone. She wants to end up with friends and maybe a husband but she doesn't want her hard outer shell to crack. She is afraid of what people will think of her if she was actually nice. If they weren't afraid of her she is scared of how they would act around her.
[Stubborn +/-] She has a strong will-power loves to debate. She often starts a confrontation with intimidation and uses that to finish getting her way. Even if she is wrong and knows it she will CONTINUE to fight until she feels tired of the game.
[Neat Freak +/-] She is well-organized and likes to live according to routines and schedules. Often she will keep lists and make plans. Because of this she works hard to achieve her goals, even though in some areas she is content with just getting the job done. She is able to stay on track of things despite certain distractions.
Darkness is a harsh term don't you think?
Her Past
Shannon was born in Los Angeles on February 1. She is the youngest of four, though she doesn't really know her older siblings as they were from another marriage. She was spoiled from the very beginning from her father; he was always showing up from work with a gift for her. By the age of five she was always throwing fits that her nanny couldn't handle and her room was covered from head to toe in pink and the floor littered with toys.
At the age of seven she began to see very little of her mother, she was always too busy with her new friends and new night life full of unspeakable things that her daughter felt like she never had a mother to begin with, her father on the other hand, always had time to be with her. he taught her the greatest gift in her mind, reading. He would read her stories every night, and sometimes several times a night, a different story each time. On Shannon's twelfth birthday her father threw her a huge birthday bash for her, inviting her whole class. She received a ton of presents and the biggest of all was from her father, her very own colt. But that night when her mother returned her parents got into an argument that lasted till morning. When her father came in her room that day he found her weeping under her covers. He sat down and pulled the blanket away and hugged her tightly. That was the last time she ever saw him.
After her father left she never forgave him, no matter how many gifts he gave her. She began to act out worse than usual at school, bullying kids, smocking in the bathroom and even drinking using a fake I.D. to get the goods. Her mother began to be fed up with her estranged daughter living her house and sent her off to boarding school only to have her return home for weeks because of suspension or even expulsion. As a last effort to send her daughter away to school she threatened to sell her horse, Artemis, if she didn't start behaving. Because it was her most prized gift her dad gave her, she promised to behave at last here at Tidewater High.
And yet it dominates the things I see
Her Darkest Secret
Besides hiding the fact that she loves to read, she has another secret she keeps from the world. Shannon has only told one person about this, though she regrets doing so. After her dad left, she missed him immediately but was so angry that he left without taking her. She loved the gifts he gave her, but they weren't the same without him giving them to her in person. Every day she writes a letter to her dad and everyday she rips it up and throws it away, feeling like she doesn't have the right words to tell him how much she hates him for leaving and how much she missed him at the same time. How can anyone put into words how they are really feeling when they were raised to hide it?
