Are you thinking like me, of the laughing times,
of all the sad and loving times?
Ameen is more of the silent and brooding type who won't say a word unless he is spoken to first, which means is pretty good at keeping secrets. Ameen is extremely loyal, which can become difficult, to him, when you are friends, you're friends for life. So he tends to find himself in sticky situations. He is very reliable and won't give up until a job is done. He is more like a statue than a person, though he does have a wild side.

Everything that's left of us is fading away...
There is no blessed story for him. There is no sunshine, rainbows, or butterflies in this story.
Ameen was raised by an overworked mother and a drunk for a father. He grew up in a ramshackle apartment with four younger sisters and one younger brother. Due to the fact that his father couldn't work because he was "disabled" his mother worked three different jobs, leaving his father to take care of his children.
Instead Ameen's father would sit in his chair and drink while swearing at the children and criticizing them, often leaving Ameen to make their meals and make sure they were at school on time, often putting off his own school work in order to make sure that everyone else was okay.
No matter what he did though, Ameen was never good enough for his father and was often beaten for leaving the simplest thing out of order. There was no escape for him, until he befriended a few adults who agreed to help him out by giving him extra food and money...but on one condition: that he joined their gang.
Ameen joined then and there without another thought.
He started out as an errand boy: stealing for the boss and soon began to spy for him. He snuck into buildings, trailed people, recorded information to help the boss out with his jobs. Ameen soon became his right hand man. It was like he was forming a new family. Even though he witnessed the evil side of the gang: beatings, even murders. He stayed. There was no way out. He worked hard to support his family, making sure none of his siblings fell into the same position as he had. A desperate one that put his life in danger constantly, but had great rewards.
Promise me to think of us as a time so wonderful
Promise me to think of us – still bright, still colourful
Promise me to look back at us as a time in your life you enjoyed
Surrounded by flames everywhere,
What I used to be, I'm not even there
After joining the gang Ameen became hardened. He didn't put up with his fathers shit anymore. The first chance he got he had his father thrown into jail on accounts of gambling and child abuse. He then gave his mother enough money (which he had been saving up from "working") so she would only have to work one job and be able to take care of her children and divorce her estranged father. Thanks to the gang, their lives improved dramatically.
Ameen continued his work in the underground, nothing else mattered to him except for that and his family, until he met a girl that had broken down all of his walls. Scarlett Alice Pendleton.
That hard headed girl fell head over heels for him and soon she had him under her spell. He'd do anything for her and she for him. They were in love...until she found out about what he was doing...

The absence of you is killing me.

Ameen was big into cars and as a reward the boss, who was more like a father than anything else, gifted Ameen a street racing car on the day he had gotten his license. By now his mother knew something was going on, but chose to ignore it, enjoying the added comfort her son brought by doing whatever he was doing.
Ameen entered many street races with that car, winning almost all of them. Sure it was dangerous, but he wanted to win. He wanted to make the gang proud. Though things had grown complicated with hiding it all from Scarlett, he couldn't bare to hide anything from her after their six months of dating. Sure they were young, but it all felt so right. She was his Princess. So he told her.
Everything.
It did not go well.
Scarlett broke up with and ran for the hills, leaving Ameen broken hearted. Once he learned that she had ended up at the same school Aaron was going to and was where Daniel was, Ameen volunteered to go there, keeping his motivation a secret. Aaron was his friend, one of his closest friends, but he wasn't coming for him. He was coming to fight for his girl. The girl that had made him feel so alive and now so lost.
