Shannon was tired from dancing, she didn't realize she had been dancing non stop for about an hour. She could feel the effects of the alcohol begin wearing off as it was sweated out. She cringed as she headed for the girls bathroom to freshen up.
It took Shannon thirty minutes to freshen up to cover up the seat and redo her makeup. She was satisfied with what she saw and stepped back out. She felt her stomach rumble and knew she should eat something and have some water before trying to find whoever spiked the punch. She walked towards the buffet line, hoping they still had something left over and something good.

Matt walked through the gym, his hands stuffed into his pockets as he strolled through the dancing bodies. He had come to the dance completely alone, having had expected to hang out with some buddies on his and maybe cause a little mayhem. At this point, though, they had either all met up with their dates, or went after some faceless women for a good time. Thus, leaving him completely alone.
He adjusted his mask, which only covered just around his eyes, leaving the rest of his face completely exposed.
Matt made his way over to the buffet, pausing when someone pushed him into a woman in line who appeared to have come completely out of nowhere. "Oh crud! I'm so sorry," he said, placing a light hand on her shoulder to help balance her. "Are you okay?"

Shannon stood in line and waited, feeling like some fat kid was holding up the line. She crossed her arms and started taping her foot, though she started feeling stupid for waiting in line for food when it was probably the most disgusting thing the school could make.
Just when Shannon was about to leave when someone bumped into her, and really hard. She hit the guy in front of her but instead of apologizing to him she whipped around to yell at whoever bumped into her. The guy started apologizing, so she kept her cool but she was pissed. "It's fine, I was leaving anyways. Not worth it to wait," she said rolling her eyes.

Matt looked completely lost, not really sure what to do to remedy the situation. He could tell the woman that was in front of him was pissed off, but he didn't know what to do about it.
"I'm sorry, how about I make it up to you?" he said, motioning towards the bar area, where they served food and beverages that the students actually had to pay for, due to them actually being full meals and specialty drinks.
"How about I grab you something over there? My treat. The food at the bar is better than finger sandwiches anyways," he offered, giving her a slight smile.

Shannon narrowed her eyes at him, she looked him up and down and felt like she knew him from somewhere. "Take off your mask," She asked, more in a demanding voice than asking sweetly. She had a sick feeling she knew who it was underneath, but she had to make sure.

Matt looked confused as he looked at her, kind of wierded out that some girl was just demanding him to remove his mask. He looked her up and down, trying to figure out if he knew her. She seemed familiar, but then again he had seen quite a few girls around school--they all seemed familiar.
He let out a sigh, complying with her orders and removing his mask. "Why am I removing my mask?" he asked as he raised a brow.

Shannon took in a sharp breath when the mask came off and it revealed to be Matthew, she wasn't sure she wanted him to find out it was her being the bitch, though she did warn him that she could be. He had been lucky before and now he wasn't. Her cheeks burned and she only hoped that her mask covered her face enough that he wouldn't see. "I just wanted to make sure you weren't someone I knew," She lied wondering what she was going to do next.

Matt narrowed his eyes a bit, trying to sneak a peak at the girl behind the mask. He listened to her voice, pretty sure that he had a good idea of who it was.
He looked at her with a smile, putting his mask back on, hoping that what he was thinking was correct. He cupped her chin with his hand, gently lifting it a bit before leaning down, giving her a soft kiss on the lips.
"I could tell by your gasp, you're completely 'fabulous' outfit, and your voice that it's you," he said with light chuckle.

Shannon didn't like the way he was narrowing his eyes at her, she was sure he would figure out it was her in a split second if she didn't leave. She was about to turn and run when he grabbed her chin and kissed her, her cheeks burned bright and her stomach fluttered. She tried to turn her face away but he was sill cupping her face in his hand. "Yea...." Was all she could think of saying.

Matt chuckled, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her to him. "I was hoping I would run into you," he said with a genuine smile, giving her one more kiss before motioning towards the bar.
"How about I get you something to eat and drink? And maybe we can take a turn on the dance floor," he offered, making sure his mask was on tight. He wasn't, at all, ashamed of Shannon. He just didn't want either of them to be on the next shark tank post.

Shannon kissed him back, feeling like they were in a relationship but she pushed that thought out of her mind no one would know it was him and her together. "Oh you were? I wasn't expecting you here," she said smirking. She really didnt expect him to show up alone to this thing. She only came to dance and drink the spiked punch.
Shannon looked to where he was motioning, surprised she hadn't seen that earlier. "Now why didnt I see that earlier," she said tilting her head to side thinking it was pretty hidden. "Sounds like a plan," she said watching him tug at his mask. She would be very suprised if someone did a blog about them, they were insignificant people.

"You weren't?" Matt asked, raising an eyebrow. "Then you know nothing about me. I just love showing up to dances and sweeping random women off their feet," he said teasingly, offering her his arm.
"I actually mainly came for the food. The makeshift bar always has awesome food and drinks. Plus, this gave me an excuse to get all snazzy," he laughed, though he wouldn't admit that he genuinely enjoyes dressing up. There was just something about throwing on a suit that made a man feel totally awesome. "They call me Bond. James Bond," he said, deepening his voice as he made the impression.

Shannon laughed, "I guess I will have to learn more about you then," She said smiling as she took his arm and headed towards this bar that mysteriously showed up. "Really? Well now I am glad you showed up, I would have been stuck if disgusting cafeteria food," she said watching the couples around them dancing and making out, she wanted to gag at all of it, but it was a party. "And they call me Pussy Galore," She teased winking at him as they stepped into line.

And I would definitely like to get to know you," Matt said with a smile, grabbing a menu for her to lool at and see what they offered.
It had been a little while since they last saw each other, nearly two weeks, and he had oddly really missed her.

Shannon blushed and was greatful that her mask covered most of her cheeks, "well I guess that means we need to hang out more," she said smiking as she took the menu to look over it.

Matt nodded in agreement. "I really think we should. Honestly? I really missed you," he said with a genuine smile.
He felt a little embarassed after he admitted it, not wanting her to think that he liked her, even though he felt like he did. "Order anything and everything you want."

Shannon couldn't stop her smile from growing. "I missed you too," she said wondering what had kept them from seeibg each other. She knew on her end she was concentrating on school and hanging with Reagan more, that wasn't an excuse though. "Thanks," she said, ordering only a few things, she didn't feel like she was starving.

Matt ordered a few things as well before turning his attention back to her. "I've actually been thinking a lot about you--sorry, that sounds super creepy. I didn't mean it in a creepy way," he said with a chuckle, blushing a bit out of embarrassment. He definitely didn't mean to sound creepy. "I've been kind of wanting to talk to you." he said, not really sure what to say next. He didn't want to weird her out.

Shannon didn't find it creepy, she was actually flattered he was thinking about her. It made her feel like the center of attention, even if it was just in his world. "You don't sound like a creeper," she said grabbing her drink and looking for a spot to sit. "Is it something bad?" She asked wondering if he didn't want to be around her anymore, even after everything he had just said.

Matt grabbed his stuff, his eyebrows knitting together as he thought about what to say. He nodded his head over to a table, leading her over to an empty table and taking a seat.
"Well, I mean, I don't think it's something bad, but you might feel differently about it," he said with a sigh, closing his eyes for a second before looking back at her, looking her straight in the eyes. "Look Shannon. I, um.....I really don't know how well I can stick to this whole 'just friends' thing. I mean....I can stick to it, but I want you to at least know how I feel. I just really don't want things to get awkward," he said, speaking so quickly that he didn't even take a breath until after he was done.
