Dixie didn't know if she was goong to be going to the dance thing or whatever people were calling it but she wanted to look good. It was just a few days before and she had saw a flyer about someone who did makeup for it. She would pay the girl to do it. Dixie had never been good at stuff like that. people did her makeup for her when she worked at the club but now that she didn't work there anymore she didn't wear makeup. Plus it wasn't like she saw many cute guys coming to a diner at night. well some were cute but some of them were too old for her or too young. She knocked on Ellie's door.

Ellie went to the door a bit confused as to why somebody was knocking about it. She had totally forgotten that she put out those fliers a few weeks ago. Nobody really called her about it so she just assumed that nobody would be interested in it. She opened it slowly and was surprised to find a familiar face. Ellie talked to her when she signed up for the musical. What was it.. Trixie? "Oh hey," she greeted. "I remember you. Do you need something?"

Dixie smiled at the girl who answered the door. "Hi. I saw your ad" she said holding the paper up to her. "I was thinking you could help me with some makeup" she ssid. "I'm not good at doing makeup" she said to him.

"Of course," Ellie smiled. She was excited that she would have a chance to work her makeup on another student for the night. It was easier to experiment on somebody else than it was to do so on herself. She opened the door wider to invite the girl in. Ellie liked to keep her room clean for the most part. There were a few places that messes seemed to accumulate, those being around a mannequin and the other next to the vanity mirror. Room was nice. Work stations were not. "What do you need it done for? The dance or is something else going on tonight?"

"Yea the dance. You could practice tonight though. I have work. I work in a diner where I sing" she said to her. "So how is the musical going?" Dixie asked looking at her.

She took the order in. The dance and work. Ellie wondered what kind of place it was that she worked at. She hadn't been to too many places around town and definitely not ones that put on a show while you ate. "Oh the musical," she mumbled, her thoughts divided. "It's not going," Ellie stated. There was so little interest in the whole musical that Ellie had the fear she would show up one day and it would be completely canceled on her. "I don't even mind that much. Like I said the first day, even I wasn't that interested in going there." Ellie walked around Dixie and examined her body shape and face shape. "What colors are your dress or your accessories? What are you going to wear to work?"

"For work I'm just going to wear a pair of black slacks and this baby blue dressy shirt." she said. "I'm sorry to hear that. it sounded fun. I would have came back but I just didn't have time then and really still don't have time." she ssid. "My dress is black. my mask will be purple and black" she said.

"A singer. Baby blue and black." She repeated. Ellie waved Dixie over and pointed to a chair near her vanity. It wasn't a fancy salon chair or anything. Just a computer desk chair. She had to work with what she had. "I think I know something that might suit you." She pulled out a pallet of eyeshadows and looked the colors in it over. With a nod of her head she mumbled to herself, 'yeah that'll work.' 'I could do.' 'green blue purple black' 'hopefully its not overboard'. Ellie found her brushes and turned to Dixie again. "What about a peacock look? Nothing too overbearing, but you'll surely stand out." As for the dress it was going to be just as fun. She would need to ask about the mask and dress a bit more, but that wasn't for today. Work was Ellie's first concern.

Dixie took a seat and watched her. "Are you wanting to go to school for this or something?" she asked with a small smile. She nodded as she talked. "Yea sure. I'm used to standing out. I used to be like that at my old job" she said to her.

"I would like to yes," Ellie stated knowing full well that it would never happen. It wasn't a real job. Doing it on the side was nice and all, but her parents wanted Ellie to have something that she could make it in. That was why Ellie was currently in pursuit of psychology as she was. "What was your old job?" She asked purely to make conversation as she worked, sometimes stopping to tell Dixie to close her eyes. "And what is it like working? It must be tough having a job and keeping up with your classes."

"Yea its hard but I don't do it for myself" she said. "I do it for my baby girl" she said. "I have a daughter. I used to be a stripper" she said softly.

Ellie had to try her hardest not to emote at that bit of information. Dixie talked about her past job so openly. Sure she probably had to feed the kid and everything, which she really shouldn't have had in the first place, but there were other jobs that she could have taken. "Oh, you have a child?" Ellie asked, her voice still holding a bit of shock, but was friendly enough. "How old is she? Is she living nearby?" Obviously, Ellie had never seen the child anywhere on the school grounds.

"Yea she's with friends. She's two" Dixie ssid. She looked towards her. "Yea that's how they all react" she ssid. "Its not as bad as it seems. I enjoyed it but then people found out and I stopped because they were talking bad about me" she said

Two. Ellie wondered what the story behind the little girl could have been. She wasn't about to press it anymore than she already had. It wasn't surprising for her to hear that people were talking poorly about Dixie at that. Adding in a bit more color than Ellie antincipated initially, she went over the eyes once again and placed a few black dots off to the corner and proceeded to apply some falsies to her lashes. "In hindsite," she said. "It would have been better if you got dressed first. You shouldn't have to worry about it smuding though." Ellie only used the best. She pulled a mirror over and passed it to Dixie so she could get closer to it than she could in the vanity. "How does it look?"
