It was a chilly afternoon despite the sun being out it was still a bit cold for Harper's taste. She moved to California because of the warm weather and nice beaches, why was it cold? Since she had nothing better to do at her Aunt's house knowing she would go mad, no literally go mad if she stayed in that house alone to her thoughts. She was never good being alone with her thoughts, always causing her to have an anxiety attack. The mall wasn't as crowded as she thought it would be for a Friday afternoon, expecting a bunch of younger teenagers running around being idiots which was their specialty at that certain age. Her eyes caught a few items that she saw in Forever 21 luring her inside to take a look around. Of course the one shirt she wanted to look at a boy was standing in the way, looking annoyed that he was even there...wait why was he here guys never shopped here. Though he looked familiar she looked through some clothes on the rack for a minute trying to remember from where he was from. Ah! He was in her English class, Steven, Stan, no Stefan was his name. "Um excuse me. You're kind of in the way." she said looking past him at the shirt she's been wanting to look at. She wasn't trying to be rude, even though it probably sounded like it if you knew who Harper was you would know this was her being nice.

Stefan leaned against one of the racks impatiently as his step-sister, Natalie, hunted throughout the damned store that was way too white called Forever 21 for this one shirt she "had to have". Apparently, he was forced by his mom to go to the mall with her, for bonding or something. Which was ridiculous, considering they'd known each other for a good ten years and were decent around each other. Bonding was unnecessary. "Can you reach that for me?" Natalie asked, pointing to some weird cropped shirt that said Metallica across it that just so happened to be way too high up for any average-sized girl to reach. "You don't even listen to Metallica." "So? The shirt is cute," she frowned at him and pinched his hand. "Get it for me," He rolled his eyes and thrusted his arm up to grab the stupid shirt for her. "There," he held it out to her. "Thank youuuuu Stefanie," she teased and he rolled his eyes. He followed her around for several more minutes before she entered the dressing rooms, ignoring the annoying looks some twelve-year olds were giving him and their giggles about whatever. He crossed his arms and waited as his sister entered a dressing room, tempted to lean against the clothes again but in no mood to be told off by a worker there. He pulled out his phone and huffed, but just before he could even look at any of his texts, a musical voice spoke to him. He blinked over at the redhead, taking in her appearance before comprehending what she'd said. "Oh. Sorry," he took a step back awkwardly. Since she was pretty, he did a double-take. Her face was oddly familiar and he bit his tongue, "You go to Tidewater High, right?"

Moving past him once he took the step back reaching up to get the shirt, luckily it was her size the one in the front so she didn't have to go digging for the right size. Caught off guard that he actually recognized her, but then again he was a guy she was pretty blah blah. She felt his eyes staring at her, feeling a bit uncomfortable like something on her was wrong. She pursed her lips in thought before replying to him, "Yes." she said as it was really nothing to her as she looked over the shirt smiling at her decision of coming in the store in the first place. "Your name is Stefan you're in my English class." she cleared up everything that they would cover over the next five minutes of them just standing there. "My name is Harper, in case you were going to ask." she added walking a little was off to look at another top her eyes were set on. She wasn't into the small talk at the moment, that's what almost ever guy did these days which was now getting quiet annoying.

"I figured," Stefan shrugged, digging his hands into his pockets. He was taken aback when she spoke, taken aback that they shared a class and he hadn't realized it. Maybe because he actually paid a little attention in that class, or at least enough not to notice anybody else. He frowned, "I... I know your name," he replied. They may not have shared a class, but he knew her name, since people spoke and he heard. A frown was wrestled off his lips when she walked off, wondering if that was his cue to go. But due to his persistency, he followed, "I'm surprised I haven't seen you around much. You seem..... like one of those popular chicks," he mused, tone lighthearted. It was probably just her looks that made him assume that, because she was attractive... But she seemed a bit cold, or maybe on her period.

Harper was surprised when he followed her, this interested her considering when she talked to someone like that they usually walked off not bothering with her. "I am popular. I'm just not the popular chick who sleeps with all the guys in the school." she told him with a smile, her eyes slowly looking over at him checking him out. Muscular, must play a sport, smelt good which meant he showered which was always a plus guys who showered and used good cologne. Grabbing another shirt, going to walk off again but instead spun around to face him, curious to know why he was even here. "Why are you even here? You know they don't sell mens items here. Unless your girlfriend dragged you along to shop with her." she said knowing this was a good way to find out if he had a girlfriend or not while not being obvious about it.
