When Alice opened up her email, she saw a friend from Japan who was a ghost hunter just sent her some footage. Apparently they thought they got something in the Suicide Forest. Alice was disappointed that they didn't wait until summer for her to fly in and go investigate with them. She always wanted to visit the Suicide Forest.
She downloaded the video clips in the folder he attatched and had a long drink of Sprite. She should have been doing homework, but ghosts were much more interesting. Alice thought coming to the longue would stop her procrastinating, not make it worse.

Ezekiel saw a girl looking at an email. "Hey" he said setting down next to her. "What's up?" he askes. Ezekiel liked everyone and liked to get to know everyone. he leaned back and waved at some people that were passing.

Alice smiled. "About to watch a few clips my friends in Japan got. They're ghost hunters." She explained, turning the computer slightly in his eyes. Holy motherfucking monkeyballs, he is hot! "They did an investigation in Mt. Fuji without inviting me. Isn't that rude?"

Alice nodded, glad to see this gorgeous boy was interested in what she was doing. She opened up the first video, filmed on a thermal camera. "So this camera detects body heat levels. What we look for in these videos is any traces of red or orange." She played the clip.
Her friends were muttering something in Japanese, just casually talking. They must have realized later what had happened.
"So here are the trees, and..." A blob of red and orange ran right across from them.

Ezekiel nodded watching the video. "So what are they saying?" He asked not being able to understand tr Japanese. He watched the red and orange paper and then be gone. "They really believe in stuff like that?" He asked looking at her. "I don't know If I believe in that stuff or not" he said

But every rational explanation possible is taken for in these things. No one else on the team was walking across them at this time, they said, and this isn't edited in any way." she told him.

"Sure." she didn't like the cafeteria food much, but today they were serving cheesefries and nachos. Alice could not resist liquid gold food. Alice shut the laptop and loaded it into her backpack, which was covered in different pins related to ghosts, drums, derby, cosplay and the internet. She slung her backpaack on her back and said, "Let's go get some food."

They walked into the cafeteria, and Alice piled up on the nachos and fries. She threw a bunch of sour cream packets on the tray and grabbed a large bottle of soda. Was this a date, she wondered. But then she remembered that he literally just asked her. She texted her mom, 'Having lunch with a hot guy named Ezekial.'

"The back is fine." She sat in the back everywhere except at derby bouts and broadway productions. At the movies, in the classroom, at a sports game, all the cool kids sat in the back. She took a seat at an empty back table.
