If there was a heaven, Reagan Covington imagined it would look very much like a Forever 21. Glittery floors, high ceilings, and great lighting for fitting room selfies. And that was just the tip of the iceberg. Don't even get him started on the clothes. Or accessories. Or even their small selection of shoes! Everything that is good about the planet Earth could be found in the nearest Forever 21. It helped that the male employees were really cute too.
The store really was a blessing for the androgynous teen, who more often than not wound up in the girl's section of every place he wandered into. Their merchandise didn't make him feel completely uncomfortable since half the time the clothes he tried on didn't even need 'womanly curves' to fit right. He could wear a crop top without wearing a padded bra, which was something he often did, and still look cute as fuck.
He never went anywhere without a friend, of course. What sensible girl would do something like that in the first place, y'know? Today he'd dragged out Shannon to help (after a stop in Starbuck's for a chai tea latte, of course) scour the racks for something cute to wear and not for any occasion other than looking more fierce than all the girls at school every single day. Shannon's body type was more petite than Reagan's, but finding things that would look good on her smaller frame was that was half the fun of shopping for other people!
The purple-haired boy pulled at the fabric of a light blue sweater with the word 'RAD' in really disgusting rainbowy sequins hanging on the rack before he looked back over his shoulder to the girl beside him. "Honestly, would you wear something like this? Jesus fucking Christ, it's like they aren't even trying anymore." He critiqued it with a repulsed scoff.

Shannon yawned, she was oddly not in the mood for shopping which was odd for her. There was nothing more she loved than shopping. And whenever she was tired or upset, there was no better therapy than shopping. She just didn't feel like herself, she decided this had to be the answer, and it also didn't help she had been practically up all night with Matthew, partying and drinking, among other things.
Shannon sipped her starbucks, trying to act like she was interested in the clothing as she smiled softly at Reagan. She didn't know she was going to make a friend at this school, let alone a cross dressing guy. But she a Reagan clicked one day when they grabbed the same shirt at this very store. It was a special moment and the two decided this was their store and no one else's.
She looked at the shirt and cringed "Eww, no way in heaven or hell would you see me wearing that." She said sticking out her tongue. Lately it seemed the designers of the world were getting lazy and failing at design, she couldn't wait to get out in that design world and dazzle them with her style.

Reagan made a face, shoving the abomination-I mean sweater back into the rack with as much force as much as he could without possibly breaking the hanger. He moved onto the next section of clothing, pulling out a high-low skirt. It might look good with his long legs, but the peachy color would clash with his skin tone. With a resigned sigh, he tucked it back into place.
Being born a natural redhead had it's perks-oh wait, no it didn't, he thought miserably. It was a never-ending game of 'covering up freckles with foundation' and 'layering on the SPF Six Million'. At least he had a slight advantage of height to detract from the sensitive skin thing. He stood at a fine five foot eight, five nine if he straightened up a little. And with a good pair of heels, he easily met the average for boys his age.
It was almost comical to see the pair together; Reagan with his dark purple hair and face painted up like a whore doll, a head taller than the blonde Shannon with her much less intimidating mask. But somehow they made a good mix. Maybe it was Shannon's impeccable taste in clothing that made her not only tolerable but desirable to be around for the boy. He groaned slightly, walking around the rest of the rack of peaches. "I can not wait for summer." He griped quietly, turning his attention back to his friend. "So what have you been up to lately? It's like I never see you anymoreeee."

Shannon watched Reagan put a skirt down liking the way it looked. "If only that came in pink," She said with a sad sigh wondering if there was another one just like it in pink, most stores did multiples in different colors.
She shifted her attention to a group of shirts, most of them too big for her, but she was determined not to leave the store without a find. "Oh you know, party here, party there. Banging a couple of guys, the usual." Shannon said with a sly smile. "What about you? I mean you can't be hanging with your roommate the whole time." She said, only having met Kinley a few times and having a love hate relationship with the girl.

Reagan nodded sadly. "Or any just about any other color, I could do." The one thing about this store that bothered him was the color coordination. Sure, it was nice to be able to find six shirts of the same shade of yellow, but if the item did come in another color, it was a royal pain in the ass to find.
"Ooooh!" Reagan cooed, eagarly. "Do telllll!" He encouraged with an airy giggle. As pathetic as it sounded, he hadn't gone out much recently, so he had to live through his friend's tales. "Yeah...actually...Kind of. I haven't had much time to get out. There was New Year's, but like-whatever, you know? And Kinley's really cool, so it's not the most hORRIBLE thing in the world." He admitted with a shrug.

Shannon laughed, she couldn't disagree with her on that. She walked over to a different section finding the skirt in a purple color. "Oh I like." She said holding up for Reagan to see.
"I can't tell you too much," Shannon said remembering her promise to Matthew. "Had lots of shots and alcohol," she said laughing "and danced quite a bit," she added though she couldn't remember how much she danced. "Well at least you have Kinley. We need to go shopping more often." She said smiling, adding another shirt to her pile of clothes.

"Oooh!" Reagan squealed happily at his friend's find. "You have to try it on!" He nodded, approvingly at the skirt Shannon had held up for him to glance over.
"Shannnnnnonnn!" The boy groaned, crossing his arms over his chest. "You're holding out on me! I tell you everything-well, if there was anything to tell," He huffed sadly. "What's his name? What was he likeeeee?" He prompted, leaning over a display rack, blinking his eyes expectantly. "Yeah, it's too bad you and Kinley don't get along very well," He rolled his eyes. "Then I could drag both of you out."

Shannon giggled as she added the skirt to her pile, feeling like she gathered enough stuff for the changing room. "Ready to try on?" She asked looking towards the changing rooms to see if there was a line, which there wasn't, thank God.
"Reaaaaggggggaaaaaaannnnn" Shannon said, coping his tone of voice. She took a deep breath and sighed "I'm sorry! I really really want to tell you, I promise you that," She said knowing she really did want to tell him, she hated keeping secrets. "I can't tell you his name, BUT I can tell you he is sweet, a gentleman, and handsome," She said as a smile grew on her face as she spoke about Matthew. "Well, I mean we have our moments," She said knowing there were times when she and Kinley did get along though it was very rare.

Reagan glanced at the small armful of items he'd accumulated and nodded absently, following her to the fitting rooms. "Why can't you tell me?" He screwed up his mouth into a firm frown as the woman counted their items and directed them toward a pair of empty stalls. He pulled the door shut behind him and set about ditching his shorts as quickly as possible.
As he wrangled them away from his ankles, leaning against the wall for support, he continued talking through the shared wall to Shannon. "Does he have a baby mama or something?" He asked, curiously, tugging off his shirt just as fast. "Oooh, wait, is he married!?" Reagan continued to guess why it was Shannon couldn't tell him about her mystery man as he pulled on a thin dress with an obnoxious amount of cutouts. "I mean, handsome gentleman? There's gotta be a catch, come on Shannon you can tell me." He stood, turning in front of the mirror to check every single angle.

Shannon cringed seeing she would have to switch out items seeing as she had more than the amount allowed. "I promised someone I wouldn't Reagan," She said knowing he wouldn't go around and tell anyone, but with the Shark Tank able to just listen in anywhere, she was afraid the person was here and listening. "No baby mama, thank God," Shannon said rolling her eyes. She would never involve herself with someone who had that kind of trouble. She slipped out of her jeans and shirt, trying on the purple skirt and a tight white shirt to match. Shannon laughed "He is NOT married!" She exclaimed shaking her head. She wouldn't do that either, unless she was given the right price, though she still doubted. She groaned as he continued to pester her about the night before. "You dressed? Or is the outfit a no go?" Shannon asked looking herself in the mirror, liking the skirt but wasn't sure about the shirt.

"Boo, you whore." Reagan teased playfully, even if he was a little upset that Shannon was being so persistent in keeping the whole truth from him. He distracted himself from the disappointment by triple-checking his ass in the mirror, smoothing over the fabric of the tight dress several times.
"Yeahh, I think so. Come out and tell me what you think," He said, slipping into his heels to complete his look and pulling open his fitting room door to lean against the frame as he waited for Shannon to make up her mind about her own outfit. "Well, I mean, that's good that he doesn't have a kid or wife," He laughed, relieved that she hadn't got herself involved with drama like that. "But like...why do you have to be so secretive, then?" He asked, biting down on his bottom lip, seeing no reason for secrecy in relationships. Or relationships at all, honestly.

Shannon couldn't help but laugh, even if she really wanted to tall him and he was her best friend and all, she felt obligated to keep things quiet for Matthew. He wanted to keep his good boy reputation that was fine with her. Though she did feel like she could tell Reagan, would he spread it around?
"Alright," Shannon said stepping out from the dressing room and showing off her outfit. She looked Reagan up and down with a huge smile "I love that dress," She ooh'd and aww'd, she was jealous she didn't see it first. "I promised him I wouldn't tell anyone we slept together," She said biting her lower lip in thought, would it be so bad just to tell one person?

Reagan continued to pout at Shannon's unwillingness to spread the Good Word (that'd be gossip, not bible passages) to him. He wasn't completely untrustworthy, and if it was that big of deal, the junior almost felt like he had a right to know whatever it was she was withholding from him.
"Me too," He replied, checking out his profile in the mirror. It fit him nicely, of course (almost everything did), but he wasn't completely sold on the cut outs quite yet. "Why's that?" Reagan asked, turning back to Shannon and looking over her outfit. "Cute skirt-but really, why all the secrecy?" He added with an arched brow. "If he isn't already taken, it shouldn't be a problem. I tell everyone who I sleep with, why can't you?" The boy continued, as though it had some relevance.

Shannon let out a loud sigh as she closed her eyes and groaned, she was putting a guy before her friend which she usually never did, even while dating. She felt she was failing lately at being herself and being a friend. She let out a loud sigh again.
She looked around the dressing room, noticing they were the only ones in there at the moment. There was a girl leaving, but she figured she wasn't able to hear. "Alright, alright. I'll tell you. BUT!" She said holding up a finger at her friend. "You cannot tell anyone, you promise?" She said though she knew her friend wouldn't. There were times though that a girl would forget and loose lips happened.
