Nathaniel Ryan Parks didn't want to be here. He didn't want to be around no one. Sure he talked to a few people but that was so his shrink would leave him alone. She wanted him to make friends and move on. To forget about New York and his best friends. To forget that his girl friend killed herself and their baby. Nathaniel didn't want to forget. Josh amd James were a big part of his life as Hannah his dead girlfriend was. He watched as people walked past him not even bothering to say hello. He didn't care. He was setting next to the track. There were times when he wanted to run amd then other times when he didn't. He got up from where he was. He walked towards the track and started to run. He kept running. He didn't care who watched. He was a track star. He carried his high school back in New york to state many time since 9th grade. After he couldn't run anymore he stopped breathing hard. He put his hamds on his knees bending down. It felt.good to run again but what was the fun anymore? He dosnt have no one to cheer him on anymore.

Serenity was upset for several reasons. She had a bottle of Coke, that had some Jack in it. She really didn't care anymore. She walked down to the track, completely confused of where she was going. Today she was wearing a blue dress. She watched as a new boy ran across the track. He stopped breathing hard, right there. She was behind the fence, but he was on the track. "That was pretty good." she said slurring. "Your pretty damn fast." She said laughing.

Nathaniel looked around. He didn't know anyone had seen him. He wouldn't have ran if he knew someone was watching. "I guess" he said and shurgged his shoulders. He sat down without looking at who was talking to him. It sounded like a girl who had something wrong with her.

"Well, what are you going out for track?" she said. She almost fell. "Whoops. That wouldn't of been good." she said laughing. "Well your new here, aren't you? If you weren't new here, I probably would of seen you because you are pretty cute." She said. She was pretty drunk, and would've never said anything like this if she wasn't. "Im serenity." she said.

"Maybe I don't know" Nathaniel said to her. He sighed. He turned to look at the girl. "You should set" he said. He watched her for a few seconds. He didn't have any intrest in talking to a like her. Seemed that she was pretty screwed up to. He didn't need that. He was messed up enough without adding a messed up girl in the picture. "Nathaniel" he ssid

"That's a good idea." she sat down. "So whats your problem. Mine is my mom is selfless, you know hat." she said looking at him. This wasn't Serenity at all. She was drunk, and she normally isn't. Her mom pushed her over the edge this time. "Nathaniel is a really pretty name." she said laughing

"What my problem is none of your business" Nathaniel said. He closed his eyes. He saw Hannahs face and hee smkle. He tried to push the memory away but it was too late. He looked back at her. "There are a lot of people like that" he said. Why was this girl even talking to him?

"Wow you are such a meanie. And you admitted you had a problem." she said laughing. "If you ever need a tutor, let me know im the best tutor in tidewater high." she said. She stood up, and got on the outside of the bleacher. She began walking up on it with her hands on the bar.

Nathaniel went over to her. This was something he didn't plat about. He wasn't going to let someone kill themselves. "Set down" he barked taking a hold of her arm. He sat her on the bleaacher and sat next to her. "There is a lot to live for truat me I have been where you are. Might still even be hell I don't know" he said

"Wow, you saved me? I thought you were a meanie." she said sitting down. SHe was very drunk, and normally she isn't drunk. She usually is sober, but this time she wasn't. She probably wouldn't make a very good first impression, but if he got to know her, he might like her. Under all her bitchiness, is a sweet girl.
