Bunny sat in the classroom doodling on her notebook paper quietly as the teacher talked about their new partner assignment. She didn't know anyone in the class, so she knew she would be awkward around them when she was assigned a partner. She was in the middle was shading in a small cartoon Bunny on her paper when she heard her name called out.
"Nanette Knight and Joel Christopher Porter." She lifted her head and raised her hand and looked around the room for the other raised hand. She crinkled her nose and scratched at her head, there was a small amount of stubble on her scalp that was growing, she hadn't shaved it in a while, so she would have to soon.

Joel squinted up at the bright classroom lights, cursing at the pounding in his head. This happened every time. He spent his classes in misery, nursing a headache and praying that he wouldn't puke all over his desk. Yet he always overdid it when drinking with his friends the nights before classes. His head snapped up when the teacher called his name out, and he glanced around the classroom to see a girl with her hand raised. Nanette? What kind of name was that? And where the fuck was her hair? He grunted slightly as he raised his hand and nodded towards her. He hoped she was one of those students that liked to take a lot of responsibility when it came to school projects. Maybe she would even do all the work if he was really lucky.

Bunny sighed lowly as she slouched back into her chair as the teacher finished reading out all the paired names. As soon as it was over one student from each group had to go up to get one of the babies. Looking at where her partner was and seeing him apathetic she sighed and stood up to get the fake baby.
As soon as she got it she held it in her arms as she made her way back to Joel. "Ummm...so...I'm Bunny." she said holding her hand out to shake his.

Joel rested his head in his hands, covering his eyes from the bright lights with his fingers. When his teacher finally finished calling out names, he heard several chairs scrape around him as his classmates stood to get their new babies. He peeked between his fingers as his partner began to head in his direction, stopping in front of him with a fake baby in her arms. "Joel," he said slowly, raising his eyebrows as she introduced herself. Bunny... As if Nanette wasn't bad enough. This girl actually went by the name Bunny. He took his hands away from his face and raised his head to look at her. "Maybe I should name it. I don't really want a kid named Hamster or something, even if it is a fake baby."

Bunny raised her eyebrow. She seriously was not in the best of moods, probably just not enough sleep last night. She scoffed as she pulled one if the chairs in the desk in front of him out before turning it and sitting in it, facing him. "Nice to meet you." She clenched her teeth together at the mention of the name. "Well, as long as you don't name it Budweiser or Heineken for gods sake go ahead." She said with a shrug. "While your at it, you can change the first diaper." She shoved the baby into his hands. No way was she going to do all the work for this project.

Joel laughed, pulling his feet off of the chair she was pulling out so that she could sit down. He cocked an eyebrow at her, studying her a little more carefully now that she was closer. He decided she was actually kinda pretty, even with that weird bald head of hers. "Nice to meet you too, I'm sure," he said with a grin, nodding towards the baby, "Don't worry. I was thinking of something more along the lines of Patron or Jager." He winked at her before she shoved the baby at him. "You mean I get the honor of changing little Jagermeister first?"

Bunny actually found herself laughing. "I somehow don't think that name will work either, considering the pink Binky it has shows it's a girl." she giggled. "I guess if you don't want to I can. I'm just kind of being a bitch today...I'm really sorry. I'm not like this all the time." she said, shaking her head. "But I'm not doing the project all by myself." she said with a stern voice.

Joel laughed and glanced down at the baby's pink binky, shaking his head. "Well that's disappointing," he said with a shrug, "I mean, we could always go with Kahlua or Chardannay. But if you're against really obvious alcohol names, there's always Brandy." He winked at her and held the baby out towards her. "By the way, she's not crying or anything. So I don't see a point in changing her diaper."

Bunny laughed. "Fine, Brandi...with an "I" not a "y"." She said with a smirk. "And it's practice now, kind if need practice to take care of a baby you know. She rolled her eyes.

Joel shrugged as he pulled his extended arms back towards him, figuring she was going to make him change her diaper either way. "Fine, Brandi with an I it is," he said, staring down at it awkwardly as he tried to figure out what he was supposed to do first.

Bunny laughed before taking the baby doll and putting it on the desk, grabbing one of the diapers the teacher provided for the first change. She shrugged her shoulders, "I could see that you where thinking about it." she said with a sigh. "I've just kind of had a bad week or so...so I'm sorry for being cross." she said with s small frown as she made the movements of changing the diaper slow and exaggerated, to show Joel how to do it.

Joel shrugged as he watched her change the baby doll's diaper, exaggerating her movements for him. "You don't know what I'm thinking," he said with a wink, "Besides, it's no problem. Everyone has those days where they act like heartless bitches to someone they just met just because they had a bad week." He rolled his eyes and winced as his headache seemed to grow worse, digging mindlessly through the diaper bag they had been given. He picked up a bottle and inspected it carelessly before dropping it back in the bag. "So how's this whole thing going to work?"

Bunny frowned as she finished. "I guess we can trade off every day. I think that would be acceptable." she said with a frown. "Do you want something for your head?" she asked, leaving the baby on the desk as she reached for her army green back pack.
