And I said I'll check in tomorrow if I don't wake up dead
This is the road to ruin
Rosco is a very protective boy whose always looking out for his family and friends. Trust doesn't come easy to him and it's almost like you have to prove yourself to him if you want to be friends. He's been burned in the past and doesn't want to go through that pain again. Rosco tends to pen up his emotions and lets them out on the football field when playing the defensive line. When it comes to communication Rosco is usually silent, so it takes some effort to get to know him, but once he opens up he's pretty open and relaxed.
And we're starting at the end
You cut me off, I lost my track
Rosco grew up in the country on a farm. He was the popular guy at his old school, never really paying much attention to anything but parties and girls. His hobbies included drinking and having fun with any cute girl he could meet up with, but that all changed late his Sophomore year. At the time he had been dating a girl that he had thought was "the one" for him, she was funny, smart, beautiful: the whole package, but as time went on things began to go badly. At first she had just started pulling him away from his friends, which he didn't notice, then she started to get mad whenever he did the littlest thing, such as not reply to one of her texts right away. That would result in a screaming match, the more this happened, the more unhappy Rosco got, so he broke it off.
That didn't go over well at all.
He began to get threatening phone calls and she seemed to be everywhere he was. Rosco kept this a secret, part of him feeling too manly to admit that he was being harassed by his ex-girlfriend.
Eventually everything calmed down and the girl had started to act normal, asking if they could try to be friends. Rosco, being hopeful that everything would turn out okay, agreed. The two met at her house and at first everything went well, that is until the cops showed up. It turns out that the girl had set up a trap for Rosco, having called the cops and telling them that her ex boyfriend was coming to hurt her, "enraged when she had broken up with him." and stated that he had been beating her while they had been together. None of it was true, but no one would believe him.
He was taken to jail. During that time he had started to believe that everything was his fault, that somehow he was to blame for her actions. A little part of that belief is still within him to this day.
3 months. He had been in that county jail for 3 months until he was proven innocent, one his exe's friends finally coming to his rescue. After release Rosco had hoped that he could pick up his life where he had left off, but that was impossible. He was harassed and called a woman beater by most people, even his old friends. So when the time came to leave Montana, he took it.
It's not my fault, I'm a maniac
It's not funny anymore, no it's not.
My heart is like a stallion
Now that he's at Tidewater Rosco hopes to live a normal life and prays that no one finds out about his past. He just wants to look out for his younger cousin Hanley, play football, graduate and move onto college. He hopes that everything stays simple, but nothing is ever simple, especially since his heart yearns to have someone to love.
They love it more when it's broken
Do you wanna feel beautiful?
Do you wanna?
