Talk, talk turns into air
And I don't even care, oh yeah

Your words don't mean a thing
I'm not listening
Keep talking, all I know is
Hanley is a very shy girl who grew up in the country lands of Montana. She loves the outdoors and once you get to know her, she's very sweet and the most loyal person you could ever meet. No matter what she'll have your back and will defend you. Hanley is very passionate when it comes to something she likes, such as horse back riding and anti-bullying efforts. She's always looking to have a good time and in all aspects can be considered pure. She's never drank, done any type of drugs, had sex, or has even been kissed. She is a dreamer and has a deep respect for everything living, but that doesn't mean she's chosen to become a vegetarian, that's way too hard. Hanley is one of those girls whose always in the background, but always having a good time with her friends. Her family thinks of her as their "little ray of sun shine" since she always smiles, even if she isn't having a good day, well, unless it's one of her really bad days...
Mama told me not to waste my life,
She said spread your wings my little butterfly
Hanley has always been the "chubby" girl, yes, she is bigger than your average female, which makes her self conscious since she has a hard time losing the weight, so when she was younger, she was the subject of a lot of taunting.
As she got older the taunting just got worse. Everyone always seemed to have something negative to say to her if they weren't in her group of friends. She tried to ignore it and just be happy with her friends, but with the daily remarks from her cold hearted peers and the stares soon became too much.
She kept up the act of being happy in front of her friends and family, but in all reality she stopped eating, she would take little bites of food here and there, but as soon as someone stopped looking at her, she would spit it out into a napkin and hide it until she could dispose of it properly.
This went on for years, until her cousin Rosco had caught her in the act and told their family, who was shocked and concerned, taking her to a counselor right away.
Hanley eventually got better, but when the news of this hit her school, everyone was talking about her and not in the positive way. Her classmates kept up with the bullying until she finally couldn't take it anymore and convinced her parents to let her go to Tidewater, but on one condition: only if her cousin Rosco went with her, which he did. And so, here they are, Rosco acting like the big brother she never had while Hanley cringes at her outward appearance, never feeling comfortable in her own skin. She tries to stay confident, but it's rough. Especially now that she's practically alone.
Don't let what they say keep you up at night.
There was one positive note to this experience though, Hanley sticks up for herself and tries to not let those mean words haunt her, she wants to grow past it all and have a happy life.
