"I have been playing since 7th grade. I can also play Saxaphone a but" she said with a small smile. "My dad liked to play music and I grew up with three older brothers who all loved music. So I guess they all rubbed off on me" Ava said

Christian smiled, "That's cool, I'm an only child and my parents were athletes, well, my dad was, my mom was an art nerd." he smiled wider when he thought of his mom and looked down into the water. "I guess I take after my dad.'

"I take after my brothers I guess. I didn't really know my dad that well. Just the first five years of my life" she said watching him. "He died in the 9/11 crashes" she said to him.

Christian blinked in surprise, "Oh man...I'm sorry...I lost my mom to cancer a few years ago." he said softly.

Ava nodded. "Yea that's true" she said to him. She ran a hand through her hair and then started to swim around the water a bit. "But I love them" she said. "So I'm guessing your an only child?" Ava asked swimming back to her spot.

Christian nodded, "Yeah, only child. I don't even know my cousins. My dad apparently had a falling out with his brothers and my mom was an only child too. So I don't know how a whole extended family thing works out."

ava nodded. "its like you have more people on your side. More people you know that will never let you down if they can help it. At least that's how it is for my family. My dad had two sisters and my mom has a brlther and a sister. I have like 10 cousins" she said. "All younger" she said

"Well only my mom's sister lives close to us and she had a baby who's almost a year. So they are the only people I saw on a normal basis. the other ones live off so we see them maybe three of four times a year" Ava said

Ava nodded. "I'm sure it is" she said with a small smile. She loomed at him. "Its never a boring time in my house when everyone is all together" she said. "I don't remember my dads voice or sometimes I forget what he looks like. since I was so young" she said

Christian nodded, "Well," he said softly, "if you are religious or anything, just remind yourself that you'll meet him in Heaven some day. That's what I tell myself when I miss my mom, I just remember that I'll see her again."
