Payton rolled her eyes, "Maybe you should focus more on school rather than taking girls out on dates. How many girls do you have right now four?" she asked walking towards her dorm room. He's a player, just keep telling yourself that and nothing will happen between you two. As she got closer to her dorm room she switched arms that her books were in reaching in her bag getting her key. Once there she opened the door, "Stay here..." she told him as she went inside leaving the door open slightly as she put her things down.

Chase's eyes widened and he scoffed at Payton. "Four? Not even close. Just you, right now, babe." He teased, looking down coyly at her backside as she walked. For a nerd, the girl had it going on. She was not at all what he'd expected, and he was beginning to think she had even more surprises up her sleeve. Preoccupied by...well, her ass, Chase didn't realize they'd stopped in front of her room until she was telling him to stay put while she ran in, leaving the door cracked. If that wasn't an invitation to try and lean back to peer through the crack very casually, Chase wasn't sure what was.

Payton finished putting her books on her desk making sure she had everything before going back out of her room. "Just me? I find that hard to believe. Everyone knows you're the player of the school basically." she told him raising a brow closing her door behind her. "So are we driving there...walking?" she asked him pushing some hair behind her ear as she waited not knowing where to go next. She wondered if something would happen between the two, she was a virgin hasn't had sex but it doesn't mean she hasn't done other stuff. She was kinda shy about the whole thing to be honest, maybe Chase would be able to break her out of that shell.

"A player? Is that what they're saying about me?" Chase's lips formed a small 'o'. He wasn't too shocked to hear that; he got around with a couple girls here and there...nothing too unusual, but some girls just couldn't keep their mouths shut and made it out to be something much bigger than it was. He was a teenage guy, there was nothing wrong in having a little fun and getting his needs taken care of at the same time. Ja feel? Payton came back out moments later, and Chase rolled his eyes at her returning question. "Driving, of course. What kind of guy would I be if I made a pretty girl like you walk?" He tucked his tongue behind his teeth, smirking. "Shall we?" He motioned towards the nearest exit with a flourished arm movement.

"Mhm, or that's what I heard...I could be wrong. So maybe I'll never know the real Chase." Payton said as she felt her cheeks flush once more. Dammit. "I don't know..." she mumbled as she walked towards the exit going outside. "Where's your car?" she asked as she looked towards the parking lot wishing she would stop blushing in front of him, it defiantly wasn't helping a bit only that he would probably try a move on her later. It was just up to her weather or not she would allow it, he was cute and all but was she ready?

"I'm pretty sure you're wrong," He laughed easily. "And I think you'll know the real Chase when you see him." He mused whimsically as they stepped outside. "I'm parked towards the middle-it's the silver one wedged between the piece of shit jeep and that tacky pickup truck." He said, pointing towards the newer model Camry he had commandeered from his mother. Chase extracted his keys from his pocket and hit the automatic unlock button, taking a few steps more quickly than Payton so he could open her door for her.

"Me? Wrong? Never!" Payton said as if she was offended by it, but was only joking. "So is the real Chase a smart, handsome man who likes to take pretty girls out on dates? If so I think I might like him like that." she told him with a smile. Despite of what happened earlier, she wouldn't mind getting to know him better, he did seem really nice she could just give him a chance. Seeing the car he pointed to nodding her head watching him as he practically was speed walking to his car to probably open her door, how sweet. "Don't hurry too much, don't want the star football player hurting himself to open a girls car door for her." she teased with a small smirk giving him a wink.

"I don't know, maybe. The smart and handsome thing sounds nice, but I'm just not sure I like him just yet," He admitted, lamely using the third person to talk about himself. He practically snorted at her notion that he might hurt himself walking a little faster than usual to get the door. "I guess that's a price I'm willing to make," He said, leaning on the door he was holding, and only shutting it once he'd made sure she was tucked neatly into the passenger's side. He skipped (not literally skipping, just walking a bit quickly with a little bounce in his step shh) to his side of the car and slipped in. "What do you prefer? Coldstone or Baskin Robbin's?" He asked, turning to get a good look at her as he fitted the key into the ignition blindly.

Payton laughed as she got in the passengers side letting him close the door once she was in putting on her seatbelt. Quickly adjusting her shirt to show a bit more cleavage, which she was used to but trying out new things was worth a shot? Plus flirting with a really cute guy was a plus since she didn't go out much, no scratch that she never went out at all. Looking over to him when he got in pressing her finger to her lips in thought, "Coldstone sounds pretty good right now." she told him leaning back in her seat a bit.

Chase grinned. "My kinda girl," He put his hand on the back of her seat, turning to look as he backed out of the parking space and began the drive to the nearest Coldstone Creamery. (and yes of course he knows where it is everyone knows where their nearest Coldstone is it's like a law) He kept his eyes on the road for the most part, daring a few furtive glances over to Payton at stoplights and straight stretches of road with little traffic. She wasn't his normal type-I mean, physically hot diggity yes siree, but her personality? Or at least IQ-wise, she was just the kind of girl he'd have avoided any other day.

Payton couldn't help but let out a small giggle shaking her head at his comment as he pulled out. While he was driving she made herself comfortable, and caught him glancing at her a few times but didn't call him out on it. "So what kind of sports do you play besides football?" she asked him turning her head to look at him studying his features, good lord he was so perfect in almost every way. "And do you just play stupid just because or are you actually really smart? I couldn't really tell if you were kidding or not." she told him as she began to play with her hair.

His first reaction was of course to answer with 'Anything with balls', but thankfully he caught himself before that awful blunder passed through his lips. That would have been a complete disaster, he thought, wincing at the imagined repercussions. "Ah baseball, basketball, wrestling, you know. That sorta stuff." He shrugged, glancing at her from the corner of his eye before he began to laugh. "Smart? Me?" He pretended to wipe away a tear melodramatically. "I guess we'll never really know, will we?" Chase flashed a wicked grin in her direction.

"So pretty much almost every sport." Payton stated smiling for a second looking to him seeing him glance in her direction. "I know I'm good looking and all but you should really pay attention to the road mister. Maybe later on you'll be able to stare...and feel all you want." she said teasing him slightly not sure she should have mentioned that to him. She looked ahead letting out a small sigh, "I guess not. Maybe you're just acting like you know nothing so you could get hot tutors to help you." she told him letting out a small laugh.

"Pretty much," He confirmed. "Everything but cheerleading-but honestly, I think I'd rock that uniform." His eyebrow shot up, and started to turn to her, but quickly stopped himself, concentrating on the road. She did have a point; it would be better for everyone involved if they could make it to the ice cream parlor alive. And if she was offering touching...well, that was certainly a good incentive not to drive the car into the other lane of traffic. "Nah, I would've acted a lot dumber if I'd known my tutor was going to be hot,"

"Oh yeah you would totally rock it, better than me I think." Payton said laughing as a picture came to her mind. She looked out the window where she saw the buildings and other food places before looking back to him. "So you think I'm hot...?" she asked blushing slightly again. "Well...I think you're hot too so whatever it evens out." she said smiling to him as she placed a hand on his thigh, her smile turning into a smirk.

"I do have really nice legs," He mused, as if he were actually considering it for a moment. Chase shot a quick look at the hand now resting on his thigh, before taking a hand off the steering wheel and placing it on top of her's and rubbing his thumb along her fingers mindlessly. "Yeah, of course I think you're hot. I might be dumb, but I'm not a fucking idiot." They were almost to their destination, thankfully, since Chase was getting a little restless from not being able to turn and look at the girl next to him every ten seconds.

Payton glanced down at his hand on hers his thumb running along her fingers. Turning her hand so she was able to lace her fingers with him giving him a smile before she spoke. "I don't think your dumb. You're really the first guy that actually notices me. To a lot of them I'm just some blonde quiet shy girl who just focuses on her studies." She told him seeing the Coldstone up ahead kinda excited to be getting ice cream right about now.

"Well, the other guys definitely don't know what they're missing. And I'm kind of glad-I mean imagine if all the douchebags in the school suddenly noticed you." He said, shaking his head. "All that competition." He shuddered, squeezing her hand lightly to show that he was teasing as he pulled into the parking lot of the Coldstone. He let go of her hand and shut off the engine, finally getting to look over to her after that tedious drive over, if only briefly before getting out of the car and pocketing his keys. He moved quickly and pulled open her door again for her, smirking. "And look, I didn't hurt myself."

Payton laughed looking to him, "Competition? I didn't think of that, but then again if I want you I could only imagine the competition that I have to deal with. I hope the girls you talk to aren't crazy." she teased him letting go of his hand as he raced around to open her door before she could. It was sweet, not many guys opened doors for girls anymore or any of that chivalry around anymore. Taking a step out of the car getting out looking to him, "Aw I'm so proud of you." she said giving him a kiss on his cheek. "I'm ready for some ice cream now." she told him raising a brow taking his hand pulling him to the door after she closed the car door.

"Only your garden variety psychopaths," He lifted a shoulder casually. "But they've got nothing on you," Once they'd entered the ice cream parlor, Chase went straight for the counter, already knowing exactly what he wanted. It was pretty safe to say that Chase was a regular at...any and all food related businesses in the area, but he had a soft spot for Coldstone. "Can I get a double scoop of that chocolate mess right there in one of those cones with the rainbow sprinkles? Thanks-and whatever this gorgeous young woman wants," He tacked on, placing his hand at the small of her back.
