Winnie scuffed and rolled her eyes. "You are telling me. Most of the people at school, and sadly all the girls. Are more interested in themselves and sex, drugs and alcohol... Than something as exciting as Fandoms." She teased, not sure if he was interested in any of those. "You are the first intelligent human being here... At least I think you human. You could be a Cylon for all I know." She said, wondering if he would catch the Battlestar Galatica reference, she hoped he would be a fan of that too.

Jacen laughed excitedly. "Right, though?! Who needs drugs when you have Sherlock's Cheekbones to keep you going!" He wasn't sure what it was about this school, but something in the water had all the teenagers going even crazier than normal. Sure, sex was nice but it was all some of these kids were doing! He chuckled again, shaking his head at her Battlestar reference. "I think I'm human too, so if I am a Cybernetic Lifeform, than it'd be a surprise to me too." He didn't really fit the model to be a Cylon unfortunately.

"I mean, Sherlock himself only has John to live life. That is all I need." Winnie said thinking she was perfectly fine being alone. She didn't care for the constant attention of some guy around all the time, how suffocating it felt to her. "Hmm, that sounds like something a Cylon would say." She continued to joke with a big smile on her face.

Jacen sighed happily, leaning his head into his open palm. "I hope one day I'll find someone like that-a grumpy ex-military with pretty eyes and unconditional love for me." He rolled his eyes near the end, so she'd know he was at least half joking. He didn't need the guy to be ex-military, of course, but pretty eyes and unconditional love were kind of a necessity. He gasped softly, trying not to grin. "You know, you're right! My whole life has been a lie."

"If only those people existed in the world," Winnie said, knowing they did but never would pay attention to her, and she was partly fine with that. "How are you going to face tomorrow? Do you even know who you are anymore?" She added in a tone of concern, placing her hands on either side of her face with her mouth hanging open in a surprise.

"You're right." Jacen stared at her blankly. "I-I think I'm having an existential crisis. I just might have to skip my math test tomorrow and sleep in. That seems like a very good plan. For science, of course." He justified, nodding his head slightly. If he really was a robot of any sorts, there was no need to even go to school, much less that freaking test.

Winnie smiled. "You aren't really going to skip are you?" She asked knowing it would kill her inside if she ever missed a class, not to mention her parents would probably find out and that wouldn't end very well.

"Ohgosh-no!" Jacen batted away the thought with a start. "Even if I wanted to...I might hate algebra 2, but if I don't go, who would the class cheat off of?" He rolled his eyes upward lazily to show his extreme discontent with being used.

Winnie smiled, she felt the same exact way. "How else will the next leaders of tomorrow make it to college." She teased, knowing most of the kids in this school would be great people taking others credit.

"How else will the future leaders of tomorrow make it anywhere, let's be honest." Jacen laughed, agreeing with the girl. "You'd think out of the whole student population, there'd be some more...prestigious and...I don't know, smart students, you know?"

Winnie smiled. "They might be out there, but they don't want to be known as nerds," She admitted knowing a few girls where smart, but wanted guys more than good grades. "It sucks that our generation wants something more than good grades." She said rolling her eyes.

Jacen huffed, clearly annoyed at his peers. "Being smart-or even just not being completely stupid doesn't mean you're a nerd. I think we know that, though," He finished with a small smile. "Grades should be the priority, but I definitely see the appeal in kissing cute guys. Just not if they get in the way of my GPA."

"WE know this," Winnie said emphasizing. She knew she was a nerd, her entire life revolved around being a nerd though. "It takes years to be the level nerd I am sure you and I are," She joked knowing he probably put the same amount of time into t.v. shows and fandoms. She narrowed her eyes at him "Yeah..." She said. She had never held hands with a guy let alone kissed one.

"Oh totally! My whole life has been devoted to the cause," He said, playing along. He'd never really even thought of himself as a 'nerd' until middle school when he'd started realizing that most of his classmates weren't as excited about learning about ancient civilizations. "What?" Jacen asked, his face settling into a confused expression. "You've never wanted to kiss a guy-oh, ohmygod, I'm sorry. Or a girl. It's all good."

"Well, I am glad I am not the only one." Winnie said excitedly, she was really glad she wasn't the only one not afraid to show their true selves unlike some other people. She blushed as everyone turned to look at the two. She waited till they all turned away before speaking. "I've... Never kissed a guy." She admitted, though she was attracted to guys.

"That's nothing to be ashamed of," Jacen waved it off with his hand. He'd been there, done that, but sometimes he'd really wished he hadn't. "You're still young and beautiful." He added, encouragingly. "Besides, Tidewater isn't exactly filled with a copious amount of guys who are both decent looking and not complete assholes. Maybe that's for the better,"

"Thanks, other people would beg to differ," Winnie said knowing lots of girls had made fun of her for the same reason. "Thanks again," She said blushing so she hid behind her Doctor Who cup. "Yeah, there aren't many guys I'e been attracted to because of their lack of a brain." She said thinking sadly to herself how he was into guys instead of girls.

"Kissing isn't the most important thing in the world. It's just kind of an added bonus!" He said, accompanied by an enthusiastic smile. "Ugh, I totally feel you. Every time I think a guy's cute, he opens his mouth and I just-" He cut himself off, making a disgusted face. "Let's just say...yeah. The no-brain thing is kind of a deal breaker for me."

"I know, but the whole world thinks otherwise," Winnie said wishing she had at least kissed one boy, weather it was true love or not. "Yeah, it is for me too. If I can't have a conversation with you, then it's over." She said wondering if that is why she hadn't kissed a guy.

"Thankfully the whole world doesn't matter," The sophomore pointed out. "I mean, I've only found a handful of guys who fit my criteria, but unfortunately most of them are straight," He huffed, loudly. That was almost always the case. "...if you wanted their names..." He suggested, teasingly.
