"No! You're just in time! I'm happy you're here!" Emanuel said with a smile. He was practically shaking from the excitement. Emanuel's eyes darted around the room to make sure that everything was organized before looking back over at Jacen "Oh he's gorgeous in every lighting" he thought. "So, I don't know what movie you want to watch...I have uh... a lot of DVDs on the shelf under the TV" he said "All of the ones in English are on the top two shelves, and everything else is in Hebrew, and they go in alphabetical order so you can just choose whatever you want" He smiled and awkwardly clasped his hands together. "Oh, do you want anything to drink? Coffee, tea?"

"Anything's fine with me really-as long as it isn't...bloody," He made a face, stepping over to the television to scan Emanuel's selection. He bent down, tilting his head sideways to be able to read the names on the sides of the DVDs, and ran his finger along the spines as he scanned them, and even though he didn't understand anything on them, his eyes were drawn more to the bottom shelves. He straightened up and looked over to the other, with a shameless smile plastered on his face. "Tea would be lovely, thank you."
"What do you suggest?" He asked, clapping his hands together and nodding towards the movies. "What's your favorite movie?"

Emanuel nodded, and walked over to the water boiler, filling it. He plugged it in and turned it on, and then began wiping the excess water off the countertop. "My favorite movie? Oh...well I guess my absolute favorite would be uhm..." He blushed, slightly embarrassed "The Titanic. But really, if you want to watch anything else that would be totally fine. I know the Titanic isn't exactly the most interesting I guess. I like anything on the shelves so please feel free to choose what you want, I really don't mind."He rambled, with a gaze that was fixed toward the water boiler, waiting for the light to go off, though it had only been a minute.

Jacen fought the urge to put his hands on his hips and shoot the other a look. The Titanic was just about the best choice he could've asked for, what was so wrong with that? He wasn't sure why the other was embarrassed, heck if he could only see some of the movies Jacen had tucked away-now those were embarrassing. Somehow he succeeded in refraining from being a complete sassmaster and instead rolled his eyes playfully after Emanuel had finished his sentence. "You really think I'd turn down The Titanic? You certainly have a lot to learn about me-I mean, we have a lot to learn, you know. About each other." He pursed his lips slightly. "And I really don't mind watching it-it's one of my favorites too."

Emanuel was taken aback by Jacen's response. "O-oh" he stammered. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest. "Is he FLIRTING? No. Don't jump to conclusions." He blinked a few times "Well...I'm glad I'm not the only guy who likes that movie" he said. The light on the water boiler blinked on, and Emanuel put a tea bag into a mug, making sure to wrap the string around the handle so it didn't fall in and get lost or something. He unplugged the boiler and poured the water into the mug, and put the mug onto a small plate. He took a few sugar packets from the drawer and put them on the edge of the plate, not knowing if Jacen liked sugar in his tea or not...better make it an option either way. He slowly walked over to where Jacen was in front of the DVD shelf and handed the mug to him. He looked out of the corner of his eye to make sure that the water boiler was unplugged.

Jacen bit his lip. "You haven't been around many...guys, have you?" The sophomore asked with a restrained smile, emphasizing guys as much as he could without obnoxiously airquoting. "The Titanic is a classic. Everyone loves it." Jacen added, as he accepted the tea gratefully with a small thank you. He wasted no time in ripping open the sugar packets and mixing them into the hot tea, tucking the wrappers underneath his cup neatly. "I think we should totally watch it." The brunette nodded, making his mind up. It was a long movie, but it was well worth it. And maybe he'd get to snuggle up next to the taller boy before the end. Snuggle? What are you, five?

"Many guys..." Emanuel parroted with a slightly confused tone, as he kneeled close to Jacen and pulled the DVD from the shelf. He opened the case and took the disk out of it, before putting the case back on the shelf. "Feel free to make yourself comfortable." He said, gesturing toward the futon with one hand and putting the DVD in the player with the other. "What does he mean by many guys?" he mused, trying to dissect the statement and find some meaning in it. The DVD had some advertisements for movies that were in theaters in 1998. He couldn't fast forward through them, and so he got the remote and sat down on the futon, waiting. He couldn't stop glancing over at Jacen, wondering if he was comfortable enough, and what on earth he meant by "many guys" in a tone like that.

"Emanuel, honestly. How many guys like me have you met?" Jacen asked with a short laugh, curling up onto the futon beside the other as commercials for older movies began to play on the television. "I can't think of a single one who didn't like Titanic." It was probably bad taste, Jacen realized after the fact, to tuck his feet in underneath himself when he hardly knew the guy. The sophomore had a problem trusting people, and it was evident that he was probably overly comfortable with Emanuel. But he really did want to trust the taller boy, so why couldn't he...just...trust him? And if he turned out to be a crazy psychotic murderer, Jacen figured they could cross that bridge when they came to it.

"I guess I wouldn't know" Emanuel admitted. "I'm not too familiar with American film I guess...or American guys" he laughed a little and glanced over at Jacen, hoping that he didn't seem too freaked out. "I have no idea what this boy is thinking right now. Is he trying to get with me?" Emanuel feared that if he made a move, Jacen would be straight or something and that would make him a tremendous target for unnecessary negative attention, but if he didn't he might seem disinterested. He payed especially close attention to Jacen's behavior and words, to try and figure out just what Jacen was trying to get across.

"American guys? That's what you thought I meant?" Jacen's eyes widened a bit. It was just a misunderstanding, but it still made Jacen's heart skip a beat. "...Do they not have, um-" He paused to clear his throat awkwardly; the words were sticking in the back of his throat as he tried to get them out, making it hard to do much else than breathe. Ooof. Emanuel couldn't be batting for his team, not with a response like that. Jacen could feel his face flush with color and he tried to cover it up with a quick sip from his tea. "You know, um, gays? In Israel?"

"Gotcha" Emanuel smirked, pleased with himself that he was able to coax it out of Jacen without being too blatant or upfront about it. It took every bit of strength for Emanuel not to burst out laughing. "Jacen there are gays everywhere. I'm from Tel Aviv, which is one of the gayest cities in the world." he gave a reassuring smile.

"Ohthankgod," Jacen rushed out, leaning his head back against the futon and closing his eyes for a second. "You really had me going there for a second," He said, straightening up (oh that's a fun phrase to use for someone who isn't straight ahah) and shaking a finger at him teasingly. "So just to be clear, you are? Like, you know...into...guys?" He asked, earnestly looking at the other.

Emanuel smiled and looked over at Jacen. "Yes, I am into guys" he answered as he hit "play" on the DVD menu. He tried to keep his mind clean so that his body didn't mutiny against him and display any undesired signs of affection. He breathed in deeply and tried to maintain his eye contact with the television, but he couldn't help stealing a few glances at the boy who was attracted to men, available, attractive and SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO HIM.
Is this a dream? Are there hidden cameras anywhere? He quickly glanced around the room.

"Phew," Jacen sighed happily, making the 'wiping his forehead' motion with the back of his hand, never actually touching his forehead to protect his bangs. He could enjoy the movie much more comfortably now, knowing for sure. Not that it really bothered him either way, it was just that strange not knowing at all thing had got to him. He settled into the futon more loosely, slouching his shoulders a bit and leaning towards the other out of habit. It was very unlikely that Emanuel was into guys who could recite the entire PokeRap, or marathoned Buffy the Vampire Slayer for fun, but still, this was much better than a murderer.

"I was going to ask you outright, but I don't have a good um..." he thought for a second. "Gaydar...or whatever it is called" he shrugged, and chuckled lightly. He hadn't been in a relationship in a very long time, and this was the first time he took this much interest in someone from America. What if there was a barrier between cultures? Then again, what were the odds of that happening. It didn't matter, because Emanuel had a gut feeling that he REALLY wanted to be with this boy.

Jacen giggled. His own gaydar wasn't topnotch, but then again Emanuel didn't have a backpack that looked like an owl or obsessively nicely buffed fingernails. If he didn't scream 'gaygaygay', Jacen was beginning to wonder what exactly he was screaming. "You know, you're not the first person to say that to me this week. Maybe I should wear like a name tag or something?" He pointed to his chest, glancing down at where he'd put said name tag. "Maybe 'Hi I'm Gay'? Would that help, you think?" He asked the other, grinning cheekily.

Emanuel laughed "Well maybe it isn't so important in this day and age" he said. "People should be more upfront, maybe" he stammered, trailing off before deciding that it was best to just be quiet during the movie. He stared at the screen, but wasn't really paying any attention to the movie. He occasionally stole a glance at Jacen. Too perfect. he thought, and snuck a bit closer to the boy.

"It might not be important, but it's nice to know," Jacen replied innocently, lifting his shoulder in a half-shrug. If he hadn't asked, Jacen wouldn't have felt comfortable drawing nearer to the other, as he did now until they bumped shoulders. He cast a curious look up to Emanuel, hoping he wasn't being too obvious and that it was alright that he'd crept closer.

"Um...right...yeah" he said nervously. He was close enough to smell Jacen and he smelled incredible. Whatever he was wearing, it was driving Emanuel crazy. His teenage hormones were going haywire. He clenched his jaw and glanced over at Jacen to gauge whether or not he seemed like a total creep. "Excuse me for a moment" he said and stood up. He headed into the bathroom and shut the door, before leaning against the sink and staring at himself in the mirror. Please don't screw this up for yourself. You have only been here for less than a week. he thought to himself before grabbing a paper cup from the stack next to the sink. He filled it with water and drank it. He looked at himself again for a few seconds and then pulled a bottle from the medicine cabinet. He again fished for a small tablet and took it. He sighed at his reflection and threw the paper cup out before washing his hands and heading back out. He sat back on the futon, this time closer than he was before he got up. He gave Jacen a steady (albeit nervous) glance.

He really did try not to bite at his nails while Emanuel was gone. It was a disgusting, filthy habit he hadn't even developed until recently, but here he was, mindlessly staring at the television with his fingers snaking up between his lips. God he was probably being way too forward and scaring this guy off. You've literally known him for an hour. Calm down, Jace. Maybe he really just needed to pee. That was the rational person's answer, at least. But who said Jacen was a rational boy? He debated fishing out his phone to check and make sure his hair was alright, and make sure he didn't have anything in his teeth or anything like that. It wasn't paranoia, it was just being attentive to himself. And in the process, finding out what it was about himself that had potentially driven away the other. He flattened his palms out against his knees, attempting to stop gnawing at his nails or fiddle with his hair, thankfully just in time as the other boy came back and sat back down. "Are you feeling alright, Emanuel?" Jacen asked, politely with a timid smile, looking up to him.
