You can be the greatest
You can be the best
You can be the King Kong banging on your chest
You could beat the world
You could beat the war
You could talk to God, go banging on his door
You can go the distance
You can run the mile
You can walk straight through hell with a smile
But it's you who'll have further to fall
Raise your voice, sticks and stones may break my bones
I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away
You can be the best
You can be the King Kong banging on your chest

Timber was a very vocal and popular girl at her old school back in The Bronx, she was determined and independent, getting a job and her license as soon as she could and excelled in her classes and became part of the student council, all while training to become a Prima Ballerina, as one of the top ballerina's in a play. She was determined and passionate, but now, she's completely different.
She's confined in her own head, unable to speak, she's lost everything. Her creativity is all the keeps her alive, but yet she is still determined to be independent, though it's nearly impossible now. She's stubborn and has strong will, and it's hard for her to let someone else take care of her.

During the summer between her freshman and sophomore years of high school Timber was involved in a horrible accident, an accident in which she had lost her ability to hear. Due to this accident Timber was forced to be pulled out of high school and end her training to become a ballerina at the time in order to concentrate on her healing, there was a 75% chance that she wasn't going to live.
She beat the odds, but in the process had to re-learn everything, it broke her. She didn't feel like the same person she had been so long ago, she had lost herself.
More stoic than vibrant.
More of an introvert, less of an extrovert.
Lost.
The accident caused her parent's to want her to be somewhere safer, some where better, so they moved the family to Tidewater and allowed Timber the freedom to live in the dorms, but her brother (anyone can rp him if they want, just message me) watches over her with a severe protectiveness, though she wishes that he could continue his own life and focus on himself.

And the world's gonna know your name
'Cause you burn with the brightest flame
But it's you who'll have further to fall
Ghost town and haunted love
No one knows the truth about the accident, except for the LaWolfe family. The true accident was actually a brutal beating.
Timber was a victim of abuse by her boyfriend and father, who are both now in prison. Her boyfriend, Eric Heart, was first a very sweet boy, who she had met in the beginning of freshman year. They started as friends, but their relationship soon progressed into something more, and everything seemed good...until Eric became more possessive of her, not wanting her to spend time with her friends or do anything without him, but she constantly disobeyed him until she got fed up, but at the same time, tensions were rising at home. Her father had lost his job and began to drink, not beer, straight whisky, it made him a completely different man.
Due to a close bond Timber's father and Eric spent a lot of time together and shared many of the same ideas about women, thinking they should be dependent and weak minded, and that they should always serve their man.
This thought process enraged Timber, causing her to repeatedly lash out at the two.
This was a recipe for disaster.
For one night, the two men lost it, flying into a drunken fury the two tag teamed Timber and 'beat her into place' while Timber's mother and brother were gone. There is still no concrete reason as to why this beating truly took place, it could have just been differing viewpoints, no one will ever know for sure.
Her father and boyfriend fled the scene when they realized that she must be dead, leaving her mother and brother to find her in a barely recognizable and bloody mess on the living room floor.
It took months for Timber to regain herself and be able to walk, she was never able to attend the trial for her father and boyfriend, but without her physically, they were found guilty and the family moved across country.

Timber thinks of herself as broken: no longer can she hear and thus she can no longer speak. She still dreams of becoming a Prima Ballerina and hopes that one day things can go back to normal, but she doubts it. Everyone always get awkward when they find out she can't speak, even when she types on her iphone in order to communicate and can use sign language, along with read lips. She wishes to speak, but if she makes noise, she never knows.
Having to repeat her sophomore year and continue on behind those her age fills her with anger and embarrassment...
Can anyone mend her? Convince her that she isn't a lost cause?
