"Yes I do...I feel bad making you stop whatever you were doing to come get me." Sophie told him taking his hand in hers looking out the window biting her lip. "Do you think my dad is okay? I don't know what to do if he's not Jake...he's all I've ever had.." she told him feeling the tears starting to well up in her eyes again.

Jake squeezed her tightly. "I'm sure he's perfectly fine sweety," he said reassuringly, "and you don't just have him. You have me too. It was all an accident and your dad is a strong man, I'm positive that he'll be alright."

Sophie nodded slowly kissing his hand that was in hers rubbing it along her cheek as she stared out the window. "Can you stay with me tonight if he can't come home tonight?" she asked him quietly just praying that Jake was right and her father will be fine.

Jake nodded, "Of course, I'm not going to let you be alone after all of this sweetheart." he pulled into the hospital parking lot and got out, quickly going to her side and helping her down.

Sophie kissed him once she got out of the car giving him a small smile that she had to force on before taking his hand to walk inside the hospital. Walking up to the desk tell them her fathers name and gave her the room number he was in. "This way." she whispered as she walked through until she came to the room number seeing the door open seeing her father in the bed pretty beat up and was sleeping. She could feel tears rolling down her face as she walked in letting go of Jakes hand to replace it with her fathers. "Hey daddy." she said almost choking it out since she started crying again.

Jake watched worriedly and went to her side, gently resting his hand on Sophie's back. "It's going to be alright Soph." he said soothingly as he rubbed her back in small circles.

Sophie nodded kissing her fathers hand as she looked to him seeing how banged up he looked, "He has a broken leg." she told Jake looking back to see her fathers eyes start to open. "Daddy! Thank god you're okay." she said wanting to hug him but didn't want to hurt him.
"Hey princess, I'm fine just some bumps and bruises and well a broken leg." he told her with a small smile his hand brushing along her face wiping her tears. "I'm not going no where anytime soon. I promise you that." he told her before looking to Jake. "Thank you for looking over her for me." he told him.

Jake smiled and bowed his head, "Anytime sir, I wasn't going to force her to stay at home and not be able to see you."

"Thank you." he said with a small smile kissing Sophie's cheek. "I'll have to stay here tonight but don't worry I'll be home tomorrow I hope." he told Sophie.
Sophie smiles slightly, "Yeah Jake has been an awesome boyfriend so far. He's going to stay with me tonight to make sure I'm okay since you won't be home." she told him looking to Jake.

Jake nodded, "Yes, I don't feel comfortable leaving Sophie in that big house all alone. You never know what could happen." he said thoughtfully.

"It's fine I understand...you're not exactly my little girl anymore." he said with a small laugh. "Jakes a good man from what I can tell I trust him." he told her basically giving her the approval of Jake being a part of her life now.
"No but I'll always be your princess." Sophie told him smiling kissing his cheek as she got up. "He is good, and he's good to me." she told her father.

Jake couldn't help but blush and looked down, feeling a little embarrassed, but was glad that her dad approved of him and that everything was okay.

"Go in home now and rest it's been a long day." he told Sophie.
Sophie nodded knowing she wanted to shower when she got home or take a bath and get to cuddle with Jake for a bit. "I love you." she told him as she got up taking Jakes hand in hers. "Call if you need anything." she said with a small smile.

Sophie smiled up to Jake watching her dad before walking out of the room with him. "I'm glad he's doing okay." she said leaning into Jake as she walked.

Jake let go of his hand and wrapped his arm around her, "I am too, he's looking good despite being all banged up and all." he gave her a gentle squeeze and lead her outside to his truck.

Sophie wrapped her arm around him nodding, "Yeah...hopefully he will be home soon. I'm glad he approves of you...that's good news." she said smiling up to him kissing his cheek going to his truck.

Jake smiled and nodded, "That is a relief." he unlocked his truck and helped her in her seat then got in on the other side and drove back to her house.

"I was actually meeting a brother I never knew I had." he replied, "it was weird. Oh, and me and my dad are no longer talking." he said, his voice void of any emotion. "My brother's cool though."
