Sophie was in her room laying on her bed obviously bored, her homework was done and she had nothing better to do really. She didn't know where her sister was, probably in the library or with a boy who knew. She sat up and put on her flip-flops and checked herself once over in the mirror, and fixed anything that she thought needed to be fixed. She grabbed her cross body bag, putting it across her body before leaving her room making sure she had her key on her. Maybe she could make a new friend or something and go do girly things like, shopping, get their nails done, or something fun. She sighed running a hang through her hair making her was downstairs and outside looking around to see if anyone was new around to talk to and to go shopping with.

Catalina frowned at her guitar, annoyed that it wouldn't tune right. Maybe something was wrong with the tuner, since when she found it, it was all battered up-looking and took a while to react to her guitar. She huffed, giving up for the timing being. She put her guitar back it into its case and rubbed her shoulder. She was kind of glad she had an excuse to put her guitar down, since her pick was nowhere to be found and it was painful to use her fingers against the sharp strings.
She zipped up the guitar case and yawned, noticing some girl enter the courtyard. But of course, she was gorgeous. So many girls at this school were absolutely stunning, it kind of made her self-conscious. She knew she had no reason to be, but still, she couldn't help it when she was being compared to so many other gorgeous people. It was very threatening to her self-esteem, although it was luckily pretty high.

Sophie spotted a girl, not too far from where she was standing she hasn't met her before. She smiled walking over to where she was seeing she had a guitar with her and then looked back to her she looked pretty. "Hello." she said in her British accent giving her a sweet smile. "My name is Sophie, I don't think I've met you before." she said taking a seat across from her crossing her legs. "You play guitar?" she asked her nodding towards her guitar case.

Catalina frowned at her guitar case. She was disappointed. It was a challenge. She was in the process of learning how to play, and honestly, it had not been as easy as she hoped. Maybe she could get some lessons. That would be awesome, since there were so many songs she was eager to learn. She had been so lost in her thoughts she hadn't realized some girl came up to her, jumping a little and looking up to see the girl she had been looking at not too long ago. She smiled, "Hi Sophie! I'm Catalina," she said, holding her hand out for her. She shrugged, "A little bit, I'm learning," she said, laughing. "Do you play?" she asked, her South African accent obvious as she did.

Sophie smiled shaking her hand looking back to her guitar, "Oh heavens no! I don't want to ruin my manicures that I get." she said laughing. "I'm sure there is someone here that knows guitar, maybe a cut boy you never know." she said giggling tilting her head a bit not really recognizing the accent she had. "Where are you from? I'm not too familiar with it, sorry." she said wrapping her arms around her legs.

Catalina shrugged, "That's why you use a pick, hun," she said, waggling her fingernails, which were perfectly painted a maroon to match the fall leaves. She smiled when she spoke, "Oh if there was..." she trailed off, giggling. That'd be great, although it was probably unlikely. She'd seen many, many cute boys, though they all came off as too cocky and rude. Maybe that was just how people there were. She hoped that wasn't true. She smiled, "I'm from South Africa," she answered, rubbing her shoulder. "And yourself? England, I'm guessing?" she asked, cocking an eyebrow at her.

"Ah, well yes those do come in handy but still. Doesn't it like make your fingers hard and like gross?" she asked looking at her nails. "Speaking of which I need a manicure, and a good shopping day. You should come with me." she told her smiling before thinking about cute boys. "I actually think my sister knows some cute boy who plays guitar, and plays soccer." she said wiggling her eye brows. "I could find out and introduce you." she told her running a hand through her hair thinking about the guys name, she was sure her sister mentioned it at some point. "South Africa? Really? Is it nice there?" she asked nodding. "You guessed correctly, just moved her about a year ago." she told her picking at some of the grass next to her.
