"Cause I don't want your dress to get all dirty," Aaron said looking her up and down, he loved what she was wearing and he couldn't help but smile. As he took a sip of his drink he felt his phone vibrate and pulled it out. His face paled a bit when he saw who the message was from but didn't read it. He simply turned off the phone and put it back in his pocket.

Ciera leaned up and nuzzled his neck. "It can be washed." she murmured, looking down at his phone when he checked it. "Whose Daniel?" she asked curiously, having read the name before he could hide it.

Aaron looked up at her and shook his head "No one you want to me, I promise." He said nuzzling her nose with his.
"That's real cute, like postcard cute," Daniel said stepping in front of the two lovebirds. He was actually grossed out by the scene and he couldn't believe Aaron was actually acting like a love sick puppy.
Aaron whipped his head around and stared at Daniel. "What are you doing here," He said with a growl as he stood up to stand in between Daniel and Ciera.

Ciera was about to ask him another question when she heard a different voice and looked up, frowning when Aaron suddenly got protective. She slowly stood, smoothing down the skirt of her dress as she looked between them, resting a hand on his lower back. She decided to stay quiet and behind Aaron.

"Aw, Aaron-poo. No warm welcome for your best bud?" Daniel joked as he pouted. "You know why I am here," he said getting serious. His face went from joking to showing no emotion. He looked from Aaron to Ciera then back to Aaron, smiling.
Aaron protectively wrapped his arm around his back and around Ciera, hoping to keep her away from Daniel. Aaron knew what he was talking about, though he never thought he would actually be sent out to find him like a dog. "Just leave Daniel." he said.
Daniel only chuckled and looked back to Ciera. "Does she know?" He asked thinking that she probably didn't know anything if she was with Aaron.

Ciera listened to them quietly as she rubbed Aaron's back with her hand. She tried to stay quiet but at Daniel's last remark, she slowly peeked out from behind him. "Know what?" she asked softly, peeking up at Aaron.

Aaron didn't respond, he only gritted his teeth and stared Daniel down.
"That look," Daniel said pointing to Aaron, "Means she doesn't. For shame Aaron, if you are going to bring in a cute chick in your life, she's got to know about your dirty life," He said smiling at Ciera. "Whats your name?" He asked her.
"Her name isn't important. What is, is that you tell Boss that I'm out." Aaron said not wanting to say Ciera's name for her protection.
Daniel laughed, it sounded strange more like a witches cackle. "You know you can't be out. Once you join, you never leave." She said seriously, staring Aaron down.

Ciera blinked in surprise and stared at Aaron, holding onto him tightly. She wasn't scared, okay maybe a little. But more than anything she was confused and wanted to know what was going on.

Aaron didn't say anything more, he just wanted Daniel away from Ciera and for her to be safe.
Daniel stared at Aaron, looked at his facial expressions before slowly nodding. "Don't worry little Aaron. I'll let you have this cute little date for now. But warning you. I will return to fetch you like the Boss wanted." He said turning his back on the two and started walking away. "Oh, and I am sure your date is curious as to what I am talking about. Might want to explain before shes in too deep," He said though if he informed his Boss of his findings, the girl already was.

Ciera looked after Daniel in confusion, narrowing her eyes slightly. "Aaron..." she said softly. "What's going on? Who was that? He doesn't seem like a very nice guy..."

Aaron closed his eyes and sighed. "I know this is a kit to ask but, can we finish our picnic first?" He asked "I promise to tell you everything when we're done." He added watching gee facial expression for a bad reaction.

Ciera bit into her lower lip but nodded. "Alright baby, you promise though? No more evading my questions all the time?" she asked, lightly rubbing his back.

Aaron held out his pinky to her, his hand was shaking badly from the confrontation with Daniel. He was also sure he was shaking because he was scared of her reaction to what he was going to tell her. "Promise," He said smiling a faint smile though it faded quickly.

"Alright." she hook her pinky around his and squeezed. When she let go she wrapped her arms around him and pulled him close, letting him rest his head against her neck. "It'll be okay." she said to him soothingly. "Nothing can scare me away from you." At that moment she just wanted to hold him, keep him together.

Aaron squeezed her pinky baack smiling happy that she would be okay with him waiting. It was more of a distraction while he tried to figure out what to say. He held her close to him, taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly. He couldn't say thing, he didn't want to loose it. He swallowed and pulled away to look at her with a soft smile. "I am glad," He said looking her in the eyes. He turned away from her and grabbed the paper bag with the surprise. "Ready to see?" He asked taking a seat back down.

Ciera watched him and nodded excitedly when he grabbed the bag. "Yeah, I'm ready." she sat down across from him and smiled excitedly, resting one hand on his knee.

Aaron smiled and laughed softly as he began pulling out a container from the bag. He placed it between them and started crunching the bag into a ball and putting it to the side. He opened the container, which held a beautiful slice of red velvet cake. "Tada!" He said excitedly as he handed her a fork.
