Gullible: Elizabeth doesn't do well with sarcasm, simply because she has trouble telling whether someone is being sarcastic or telling the truth. It isn't that she isn't smart enough to catch onto sarcasm, but simply that she believes people too easily.
Far too forgiving: Elizabeth is terrible at holding grudges. You sleep with her boyfriend? She may start off mad at you, but she just can't stay that way. It's just how she is.

Her grandmother lived a pretty rough life, but still managed to take care of her while her mother took a very quick downward spiral.
