Alex can be a snob and notice strange things about different people, such as their shoes being scuffed or one side of a shirt being longer than the other side. Despite being a snob Alex can be pretty funny, he loves to tell lame jokes and use stupid pick up lines. He simple adores animals, and secretly keeps a small dog in his dorm room, so he's a minor rule breaker. Alex likes to party and have fun, so he's usually out and about. He's part of the popular crowd, which makes him feel high and mighty about himself, especially since he's the star of the school baseball team.
As you can tell by his name, Alex is from a pretty wealthy family that is very into names and continuing the family line, which explains why Alex has four older sisters, his father didn't want to give up until he had someone who could carry on the name.
With that Alex was molded mainly by his father as he grew up, never being exactly good enough for the older man, which took a toll on him since he always wanted to make his dad proud, though it seemed impossible he wouldn't give up, even now.
There was a time though when he did give up, that was around his freshman year of high school, a year that wasn't at Tidewater, instead it was at a boarding school in England, a place where his father thought he would take education more seriously, instead, Alex met a girl that he simple adored.
Her name was Madeline.
She showed him the joys of parties and drinking and he followed her like a lost puppy dog. She showed him things he couldn't imagine, make him feel things he couldn't imagine. She made him feel like he was on top of the world. With this infatuation his grades started to take a downward slide, which alarmed his father.
Once he heard of the girl who was distracting his son, Alex was pulled out of England, never having the chance to say good bye to Madeline and all of his abilities to talk to her again were taken away. Alex was put into Tidewater and put under strict supervision so that he wouldn't fail in school again.
Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way
Alex keeps that part of his past hidden away and is determined to get back to Madeline, even though it means going to Tidewater until he can graduate then running off and leaving his family behind in the dust. Alex feels as if he can't trust anyone now and just does things that he knows will annoy his family, so he goes out and parties, but attempts to keep his grades at at least a B average, which seems to please his father. For now.
He keeps up the false smiles, but on the inside he believes nothing can make him happy except for Madeline.
