Ben's eyes softened when he saw her blush creep up her cheeks. "Why me?" He asked, genuinely curious since he hadn't been the most...kind guy to her. It kind of thrilled him that a cute girl had taken a liking to him.

Whitney shrugged "I have no idea," She said honestly, finally able to look up at him. She realized he was still holding her, but didn't move or pull or away, it oddly felt very warm underneath it. "All I know is that the second I saw you standing up there in class my stomach had butterflies," She added looking down at the ground again, blushing even deeper as she remembered that fateful day. "And I know to trust my gut, it has never been wrong." She thought now that it was, she couldn't like two people at once. Could she?

Whitney's eyes widen with surprise and then narrowed with confusion. "What?" She asked wondering if he was just playing a joke on her or if he was serious. She didn't know what she wanted to be true, if he was telling the truth she knew she would be excited, but sad because of Shara. But if he was lying, she would be sad still. Her heart was beating so fast while thoughts flew through her mind.

"I said my feelings to are the same as the feelings you have for me." He replied, tilting his head and looking at her curiously when she narrowed her eyes. Weren't girls suppose to be happy when guys said they liked them?

Whitney understood then that he was telling the truth, she smiled and blushed again, but now she was unsure of what to do. "I am not sure... What to do next," She said wondering if he had any idea of what to do, though she doubt he fell for two people at the same time.

Whitney felt slightly hurt, though she understood. She wouldn't want to be with someone who was already in a relationship. She tried to reason with herself, thinking there was a way it could all work out, but she knew she would either loose Ben or Shara. It all came down to who could she not loose the most. The tears began to form in her eyes and she turned her back to him. "Excuse me, I think... It's time for me to go," She said her voice shaking as she began again to walk towards the exit gate, she hoped he wouldn't follow after her this time, but another part of her did.
