This was fucking ridiculous. These words seemed to never leave Kinley's mind. At least, she was sure they wouldn't as long as she was a student at Tidewater High. Because Tidewater was fucking ridiculous with stupid ideas. Who even though Secret Santa was a good idea? Not Kinley. And why would they make it mandatory? No one wanted to get a present for someone they didn't even know. Receiving a present from someone you didn't know was a completely different story. She was fine with receiving presents? But giving them? That just seemed unfair.
Kinley sneered at a short guy with a terrible haircut who didn't even bother to hold the door to the boys dorms open for her, and she caught it with her foot before flipping him off. Some people were so rude. At least she knew where she was going this time. This Aaron guy stayed in Room 102, and she was familiar with the location because it just happened to be Matthew's room too. Matthew. What a dick. He had disappeared for a few days, just when she needed him so that she could grill him for details about his roommate. How the hell was she supposed to know what to get this guy? Surely everyone liked alcohol, right? She hoped so, because that's exactly what he was getting from her. Hell, maybe he would even share it with her. She wondered briefly if the guy would be a total loser and would actually turn her in when he found out what the gift was, but she reminded herself that she didn't exactly care. She paused in front of Room 102, switching the heavy gift bag with the bottle of liquor in it from one hand to the other before knocking on the door.

Aaron ran the towel over his hair, ruffling it to make it as dry as it could get before stepping out of the bathroom and wrapping the towel around his waist. He was glad he had late morning classes, which gave him time to actually wake up and take his time before sitting for hours in a desk which made him irritated. He was digging through his dresser, looking for a clean pair of boxers, which reminded him that he needed to do laundry, when a knock at the door came. He wondered what guy in his hall needed help with whatever.
Aaron opened the door about to yell some very obscene things when he noticed the girl standing before him. A pretty, beautiful girl, holding a gift bag and he looked down to see himself in a towel. He blushed "Sorry, can I help you?" he asked hoping this was just one of Matthews friends.

Kinley's eyebrows shot up as the door opened, and she paused to study the guy in front of her for a minute. "Well, I'm not disappointed to see that Matthew didn't answer the door," she said, pleased, "I'm Kinley, and you must be Aaron." She glanced down at the bag in her hand before holding it up to him. She waved it in his face slightly, willing him to take it from her. "I'm your Secret Santa," she said with a shrug, "Lucky you."

Aaron took the compliment and smiled bigger, it was always nice to hear that from a really pretty girl. "Well, thanks. Now you know my name, but I don't know yours." He said as she started to hand him the big gift bag, slightly waving it at his face. A few of the guys in the hallway began to whistle at the two of them, calling Aaron out as a stud trying to hookup with a girl. "Uh, do you want to come in for a second?" he asked rolling his eyes at the guys and opening the door wider. "I swear it's not to get in your pants, despite what it looks like." He added quickly.

"I'm Kinley," she offered, grinning at him before turning to glare at the obnoxious guys in the hallway calling out to Aaron. The boys at this school were so childish. "Your friends seem nice," she laughed as she brushed past him on her way into the room, rolling her eyes. She glanced around, wondering if there was anything in the room that would give away some of his personality to her. "You don't invite a girl into your room when you're completely naked without the intention of getting into her pants," she said finally, picking up a picture from a dresser near her and putting it back down when she realized it was Matthew's.

"They're.... More of acquaintances than friends." He said closing the door behind him and grabbing the first pair of boxers he could find, clean or not. "Be a sec," He said, grabbing his jeans and ducking into the bathroom, closing the door slightly just enough so they could still talk. He laughed at Kinley and sighed. "Most guys would think like that," He said dropping the towel and grabbing his boxers. "But honestly, I am a nice guy." He said hoping she could understand him.

"Well that's good, I guess," Kinley said, rolling her eyes and watching him go into the bathroom, "They seem pretty immature." She sat down on the bed nearest to her, not sure whether it was Aaron's or Matthew's. It always seemed impossible to tell which side of the room belonged to someone when it was two guys who shared the room. "There's no such thing as a nice guy," she sneered.

(( Can't believe I made that 'There, their, and they're' mistake - face palm- ))
Aaron was zipping up his pants and buttoning them when he walked out, trying to spy a shirt somewhere. "Yeah and I can be immature sometimes," He said catching sight of a grey shirt that hugged him pretty tightly. "But these guys, are immature twenty-four seven and it gets annoying." He said moving to lean against the dresser making it to where they were face to face. He laughed. "Honestly, I am a nice guy and no I am not gay." he added quickly knowing that if you denied it, people would assume you were, he didn't care.

"You know, you don't have to wear a shirt just because I'm here," Kinley suggested with a laugh, "I mean, it is your room. And don't worry, I don't think you're gay. But there's still no such thing as a nice guy." She crossed her legs and nodded towards the bag. "Are you going to open that any time soon? I put so much thought and time into that gift for you."

Aaron raised an eyebrow at her. "Are you... Trying to flirt with me?" He teased shaking his head, he felt odd being around a girl without a shirt. Especially in a room alone with a girl. He turned to the gift he had completely forgotten about. "Sure." He said grabbing the bag and began to dig the gift out. "Alcohol?" He said but was more of a question. "How, did you get this?" He asked looking over the type and reading the ingredients before holding up to the light to see the exact color.
"And where the hell am I going to hide it?" He added with a small smile, knowing he was just putting up a front for her. If he had even one small sip of this whiskey he could retreat back to his old ways, and he knew he didn't want to go down that path again.

Kinley laughed, shaking her head at him. "If I was trying to flirt with you, you'd know," she said with a shrug. She sat up a little straighter when he began to open her gift, a grin plastered on her face. "Of course alcohol," she said as if it were obvious, rolling her eyes, "Everyone wants alcohol for Christmas. And don't worry about where I got it; just be happy I gave it to you." She shrugged again, pulling her jacket on tighter. "I wasn't expecting you to keep it long enough to have to hide it. They only do room inspections like once a week. You're supposed to drink it."

"Well, yes I know your suppose to drink it," Aaron said furrowing his eyebrows. "But I wont be during the week," He said not sure if he was going to at all. "I mean, I don't want to regret walking in my drunk dead sleep," He joked knowing he had done that a few times in his past. "Have you had this whiskey before? Can I trust you that it's good?" He asked with a sly smile on his face.

"Who cares," Kinley laughed, "If you end up walking in your sleep, you walk in your sleep." She nodded slowly, knowing she had tried it at least once before but not quite remembering which one it was. "I've had it, but I'm not sure how well you can trust me," she said with a grin, "Guess you'll just have to see."

"My parents care, since if I get caught and they hear that I was sleep walking they would know," Aaron said making a weird face. He only walked in his sleep when he drank heavily and whiskey was known to make him drunk quickly. "Oh, so you are not going to tell me are you," He said narrowing his eyes at her. "Clever girl." He added with a chuckle.

"Sounds like you have a history," Kinley said, perking an eyebrow at him, "So what's your deal then? Recovering alcoholic or something?" She leaned forward and held her hand out, nodding towards the bottle. "Let me see it then, and we can try it out."

"Something like that," Aaron said not wanting to dive into that story anytime soon. He handed the bottle to her, hoping she was joking about giving it a try. He wasn't going to drink it, if that's what she wanted.

"Recovering alcoholic isn't so bad," Kinley said with a shrug, rolling her eyes, "But it's much more fun when you're not trying to quit drinking." She took the bottle from him and turned it over in her hands, studying it for a minute before opening it.

As soon as she opened the bottle Aaron could smell the whiskey. "Wow, that's string." He said rubbing his nose as if he was irritated.

"Strong is the only way to go," Kinley said with a shrug and a mischievous grin. She brought the bottle closer to her face and smelled it cautiously before taking a quick swig of it. "Wow, it's really strong," she added, coughing and holding the bottle out to him, "Try it."

Aaron took the bottle hesitantly, he wasn't sure he was going to take a sip of it yet. He was worried with even a tiny amount he would fall back into his old ways. Aaron smelled the alcohol, tempting fate with even that, but when his stomach didn't churn at the thought of possibly vomiting for hours, he lifted the bottle to his lips, taking a nice swig of the whiskey. He squinted his eyes at the strength and started laughing. "Damn." He said through his laughter.
