Yulia shook her head at the name slip. "Nyet. No."
"What's wrong?"
"I have to buy a present for fucking Kinley Reagan for the secret santa thing." Yulia grumbled. "That girl does not deserve anything."
Vlad looked at the name slip.
"Well you did get out her name."
"Screw it. You know how lovely she is."
"Boy do I. She didn't give a fuck about me until I told her I was European. 'Oh, so you have a hot accent?'"
Yulia chuckled. "That doesn't surprise me."
"Here." Vlad gave her his slip and took hers. "We'll switch."
"Thank God. If I see her, I'll really want to smash her against the locker and watch her swallow her own teeth."
"Easy sister."
"Admit it, you would like to watch."
"I'm sure she's not that bad."
"She has problems. Maybe you can get her a therapist."
"Nyet. Good idea, but too much money."
"How about a heart, because she obviously doesn't have one."
"She didn't write anything else down." Vlad was confused. "What do mean American girls like?"
"How about you put a spring and a boxing glove in the box."
"I'd have to tell her it was your idea."
"You better not."
"Then no boxing glove."
Yulia grumbled. "You're no fun."

This whole Secret Santa thing was fucking ridiculous. Kinley shoved the slip of paper she had received into her back pocket, rolling her eyes. Who the hell was Aaron Deller anyways? She'd never heard of him, but she hoped he was cute. Maybe they could both get something out of this stupid Tidewater Christmas tradition. She wished the paper had told her what grade this guy was in, or even what he looked like. They could have included a fucking picture for her. At least then she would know if it was even worth getting this guy a present. She sighed as she stopped in front of the boys dorm hall, deciding whether or not she should go in and find out which room this guy was in. Then maybe she could catch a peek of him. It was easy. If he was hot, she would get him something. If not, maybe she would just accidentally lose her Secret Santa assignment slip.

"Do what you do best." said Vlad. Yulia exited through his window and used the bricks to make her way up to the roof. Standing up, she scanned the ground for brunettes. She couldn't find any, so she jumped over to the girls roof.

Just her luck; of course this Aaron guy was no where to be found. At least now she knew which room he was in. Room 102. It sounded familiar, and she was fairly certain Matthew had told her it was his room. So she was the Secret Santa for Matthew's roommate. Maybe she could press him for details later, especially to find out what the guy looked like.
Exhaling sharply, Kinley suddenly felt exhausted and ready to get back to her room. For once, she hoped her roommate Reagan wasn't there so that she wouldn't have to talk to anyone else for a while today. She pushed open the boys dorms front door and stepped outside before turning towards the girls dorms, shivering slightly as she felt the cool December air from outside hit her. She stopped suddenly, a figure moving on the girls roof catching her attention. What the fuck? Someone was actually on the girls dorm roof. Obviously someone completely insane.

Kinley turned quickly when someone spoke behind her, feeling extremely confused. The figure on the roof had disappeared, and she wasn't exactly sure what was going on. "What?" she asked, narrowing her eyes as she tried to put her thoughts together. She stared at Vlad, raising an eyebrow at him. "Right, do I know you?"

Kinley shook her head, rolling her eyes at him. As if she was supposed to remember someone from that stupid chat room. Several students used that thing, and she didn't see how he expected her to remember any of them. "Okay, well that's nice," she said, shrugging her shoulders.

"Maybe not, if I'm lucky," Kinley said as she shook her head, turning away from him and looking up at the girls dorm roof again. She squinted, attempting to catch sight of the figure she had seen earlier. Maybe she had imagined it; maybe she was crazy.

Vlad took out his phone and texted Yulia; 'You're right. She's a darling.' Unlike Yulia, Vlad believed that deep down there was a little good in a person that needed to be dug up and brought out so it could expand.

Kinley was about to walk away to head to her dorm, but she turned quickly back to Vlad. "There's a person on the roof," she said, shaking her head in disbelief. Surely she couldn't have been the only one to see that. "Seriously, I saw them. Did you see them?"
