Aaron nodded listening to her explanation. "Anyways, should we move onto a different subject?" He asked wondering if it was okay for him to be still in her room, he looked around him to see if there was an open seat.

Shealyn turned her head up to look at him excitedly, thrilled that he didn't seem desperate to completely end the conversation. "Sure, what do you want to talk about?" she asked, unable to think of a new subject herself. She motioned towards both of the beds, wishing there were more seating options in her room. "You can sit down if you want, unless you have to go or something."

Aaron took a seat on the floor near her roommates bed, not even wanting to be near it, but he felt odd if he sat next to her so close and on her own bed. "Oh no I have time. Classes are done for me." He lied as he placed his backpack next to him. "How long have you been attending Tidewater High?" he asked the age old question that he felt was an ice breaker.

Shealyn watched him as he took a seat, feeling a little bad that he had chosen the ground. She wondered if he felt uncomfortable, but she shook it off, figuring he wouldn't have stayed if he had. "I've only been here for a few weeks," she said with a shrug, nodding towards a few boxes in the corner. "As you can see, I haven't even finished unpacking. How long have you gone here? I mean, you kind of look like a senior, but that doesn't mean you've gone here every year."

Aaron made himself as comfy as possible on the ground, which was much more comfy than the ground in the juvie hall. Aaron nodded "Cool, I started just last semester," he said with a smile. He laughed "Yeah, I am pretty sure my side of the room looks like I haven't unpacked at all either. " He commented, knowing his roommate was probably upset about that. "I am not a Senior though." He said pointing this out, though he wasn't going to tell her his grade and real age. 'Could just lie' he thought to himself.

"So you haven't been here long enough to see if you really like it yet?" Shealyn asked, raising an eyebrow at him, "I mean, it doesn't seem so bad to me so far, but people don't seem that friendly." She shrugged her shoulders, thinking of how she and her roommate never really talked even though they lived together now. "That's okay, I'm not a senior either," she told him, pausing to see if he was going to tell her what his real grade was, "I'm a junior, actually."

"Yeah, I mean I am sure when I have to move again my parents will give me the choice to either stay or go with them," Aaron said wondering at what time his dad will announce the next move and if he would decide to stay. "I haven't met a whole lot of people and so far my roommate and I are on okay terms. I feel like he knows more people here than I do so.." He said nodding his head as if she could listen to him continue in his head. "Cool," He sad, 'Of course, another girl in a higher grade than I' he thought thinking about Ciera and how she accepted him despite his age.

"Well hopefully that won't be any time soon, so you can have enough time to see if you even like it here," Shealyn said, grinning at him, "I haven't met many people either. And honestly, you're the first person I've really talked to so far." She shrugged as she reached for the brush on the table next to her, realizing that she still looked terrible and hadn't even made a decent effort to fix it. "Yeah, so only one more year for me after this one," she said, assuming he was a junior too since he hadn't bothered to tell her otherwise.

"Well, that stinks, you don't talk to your classmates?" Aaron asked shifting his weight again. He didn't talk to his classmates either, but he was a shy person who doodle most of the time. "Yeah, only one year is awesome." He said nodding wishing he was right there with her. "So, do you have any idea what you want to do?" He asked unzipping his backpack a little.

"Nah, I haven't really had the chance yet," Shealyn said, leaning back against the wall on her bed, "And none of them have made the effort yet." She wondered if that was the way it was for all new students, if they had to get used to being ignored or if other people actually made an effort to make friends. "Do? You mean like, 'What do you want to be when you grow up?'" she laughed, "Honestly, I want to be a Motocross rider. Like a racer. Do you like motorcycles?"

"Yeah, most alright have their friends and cliques and I kinda just sit off to the side," Aaron said reaching into his backpack and pulling out his sketch book. "Motorcycles are cool," He said flipping to a certain page with an actually motorcycle he had seen the other day. "I mean, I haven't driven one myself, but I have been on the so called 'Bitch seat'" he said adding air quotes around the words.

Shealyn nodded, watching him as he pulled the sketch book from his backpack. "There's nothing wrong with the bitch seat," she said with a laugh, "But I'm more into dirt bikes than street bikes. Although street bikes are pretty cool too." She leaned over to stare at the page he had turned to, studying it carefully. "That's really, really good. You did that?"

Aaron nodded "That I did, all by myself," He teased as he began flipping through the other pages, flipping past the page he drew of Ciera, "I hope to be an architect one day." He said but knew he might chicken out and join the army like his dad would like him to do.

"Can I see them?" Shealyn asked slowly, hoping he wasn't super private and protective of his sketches, "You're really good, and I bet you'd be a great architect." She raised an eyebrow as he quickly flipped past the drawing of Ciera. "Hey, that girl goes here, right? I think I've seen her before."

"Uh sure, I promise there aren't any naked girls," Aaron said knowing there was another book just for that. "Yeah, I caught her at the fountain and just sketched her." He said a small smile spreading across his face. "She caught me, but was great and just continued to sit there for me." He added wondering what she was doing right now.

"I'm not sure I believe you on that one," Shealyn laughed, taking the book from him and flipping through the sketches. "Well, she sounds really cool then," she said, shrugging her shoulders and then grinning at him, "And I can tell you like her."

"Wha-a? Like her? She's a friend," Aaron said beginning to blush. "I mean, she was the first nice person to me." He added not mentioning the fun non-date they went on shortly after meeting. "I mean, a guy and a girl can be friends without... Falling for each other." He said trying to convince himself more than her.

"Of course a guy and a girl can be friends without falling for each other," Shealyn said, nodding in agreement, "But in this case, you do like her. Even if I don't know you very well or her at all, I can tell you like her."

Aaron didn't say anything at first, he was thinking about his feelings and if what she said was true, should he say anything to Ciera. "Well.." He said unsure of what to say after this.

Shealyn laughed as Aaron hesitated, shaking her head at him. "See, I told you that you like her," she said, "Nothing wrong with admitting it to yourself."
